Again, that was never the point of this run. It was never going to be perfectly accurate. That is stated in the very title of this thread. "Simplified". I'm sorry you are disappointed with the kit, as I know Dave and I wanted everyone to be happy with what they got, and I know Dave has bent over backward to try his damnedest to make it so.
It definitely isn't a case of false advertising, though, because as Country Paul pointed out, there are actually more accurate details that Dave decided to include that were not included in the original plans. Anyway, I still hope you can find a way to build a nice blaster with the kit and find some enjoyment out of it.

I'll have to wait for someone else more experienced than I to comment on the scope, but as to the Denix, it's my understanding it needs to be sanded first. I've been working on that little by little each day, until the bluing stuff I ordered shows up. It's tough to get all the nooks and crannies though!
I understand that you me said and I know that dave has make very one good job on the whole kit but say that the kit is perfect accurate I do not agree

Enjoying all the little progress reports here
Ive made a start but not much, sanded off the denix logo & dry fitted everything
Filed down the barrel to fit the bull barrel (as said above it shifts slightly when tightened, think mine will be epoxied in place)
Like Murdocxxl I'm not sure if I need to be sanding smooth the scope & how best to do it?
As suggested I've got BC aluminium black & Super blue for the colour
Last time I blued a denix I completely sanded it first do most people do this or just go over the original finish?
Love this kit![]()
