This information was mainly intended for my use/reference to build the DeAgostini Millennium Falcon.

Since we closed our personal website, and the fact that I know that there are others that would like this information, I am providing that information here.

Please know that it is not intended to be the final word on what is right or wrong.

I personally thank all those who share information not only in building but those who create aftermarket parts, links with information and more.

The following photos provide the name of the model kit that the parts are located along with the part number so it is easier to locate the part(s).
Please note that I have not colored, marked or identified all missing parts in the following images. Some parts can be scratch built. Some kits that the parts are found can be expensive.

PAINT:
As I understand it, the following Floquil paint colors are what was thought to have been used on the original prop. The paints listed with the floquil paints are what is said to be a color match.

Floquil "Grime" is said to be the main color of the ship. Some have suggested that it was a 50/50 mix of Floquil Grime F110086 and Floquil Reefer White F110011.

Concrete
Floquil Enamel F110082 Concrete
Polly Scale Acrylic F414317 Concrete
Model Master Acrylic 4876 Concrete (Extremely close match)
Model Master Enamel 1726 Light Sea Grey (to dark when compared)

Reefer Yellow
Floquil Enamel F110031 Reefer Yellow
Polly Scale Acrylic F414122 Reefer Yellow
Model Master Acrylic 4879 Reefer Yellow (extremely close match)
Model Master Enamel 28104 Chrysler Yellow (Not Verified)

Reefer Grey

Model Master Acrylic 4880 Caboose Red (extremely close match)
Model Master Enamel 1705 Insignia Red (Not Verified)

Grime

Polly Scale F414417 Acrylic Grime
Model Master Enamel 1733 Camouflage Grey (not Verified against older stock)
Scalecoat Enamel S116 R.R. Grime#1 (Not Verified)

I acquired the Floquil Painting Miniatures book that also included the color chart.
Here is a hi-res scan for those interested...

This is great, I just scored kits 1 - 6 on eBay at a discounted price and have kit 7 coming soon. I will be watching because I also want those Paragrafix cockpit parts. Looking forward to more.

Photo etch from Paragrafix started...

Do you have to solder the Paragrafix cockpit parts, or is there another way to assemble? Just wondering because I don't have a ton of experience at soldering outside simple LEDs and switches.

There is no need to solder superglue (cyanoacrylate) does the job fine, that's how I assembled mine and it's solid.

UPDATE 01/31/17
RAMP will be redone!

FF5ba5E.jpg

Made some progress on the ramp.
Tamiya grey surface primer then Floquil "Grime".
Ramp (where one would walk) was primed black then I used Model Master Acrylic paint color "Grimy Black Flat".
Tamiya weathering kits and 502 MIG weathering oils were also used.

Don't run to the nearest store...
Trains & Lanes Hobbies in Easton PA has a lot of Floquil and Polly Scale paints in stock. The price is 5.99 a bottle plus tax.
They only have Floquil Primer in stock. All other colors 'used' for the falcon are sold out. I looked really hard for them.
However, They do have Reefer Yellow, Concrete, Reefer Grey and Caboose Red in Polly Scale.
Again, they also have a lot of other colors available in both Floquil and Polly Scale.

My score as of 1/28/16
Not shown: they all mixed up perfectly using my paint shaker.

Not a huge update/progress report but a step in the right direction. :D
These are untouched and unpainted parts. They will be primed as soon as the weather gets warmer (a few months away):cry

I know it has been discussed to death but...
I recently noticed that the newer Floquil grime bottles are, in fact, a lot lighter in color than the original released grime. This was noticed when I received two “old stock” bottles of grime and then compared them to the grime I already have. This may be why it was thought that concrete was used and not grime on the original model.

The "new stock" of grime that I have in my collection is from three different sources. So this would lead me to believe that all "new stock" of grime is the same as what I have. Obtaining the older stock may be a great challenge if not impossible. I am unsure of what I will be doing at this time.
