Limited Run Set of Photoetched Grilles with Fans for DeAgostini Falcon - NOW IN PRODUCTION

All paid orders are now shipped. I still have sets of photo-etched grilles left and now I am offering them on "first come - first served" basis. The photoetched grilles have arrived and I am happy to show how they look like. At the same time I am staring the production. Please see the details below.

The thinner grilles on the photoetched sheet are half-etched to create depth.








Here is how the primed set looks like:








The price for the whole set (6 Photoetched grilles plus 6 SLA printed ports and fans) is $75 USD plus shipping.

Shipping is flat rate $15 USD for USA and Canada and $45 for the rest of the world.

UPDATE: There is also an option $16 shipping overseas by "Small packets - Air" but it doesn't come with insurance or tracking information. You can choose this option at your own risk, I can not be held responsible for the package lost or damaged during shipping if you chose this shipping method. I have to add that I never had any problems with this shipping method in the past though.

I will be sending payment information soon to the first 10 people on the interest list. As soon as the orders are fulfilled for the first 10 people I will process the next 10 and so on, in order to avoid any unforeseen delays.

I don't have the exact dimensions, nor do I know what parts have been used to make the master pattern. If you know that (or anyome else) and are willing to share that information, that would be very much appreciated. I had an opportunity to make some close up shots of the actual 32 inch filming miniature on Star Wars Identities in Montreal a few years ago. I will post side by side photos soon.

I could be interested. I have fallen a little behind on my deAgostini falcon build so do I take it from these that we will be required to cut out the holes for the engine grills from the hull sections? Cheers John

Very interested! Will it be able to order these add-ons at Shapeways? I am from Europe so Shapeways is a great source for us as they are able to print the stuff in the Netherlands and I don´t need to fear the customs / international shipping stuff

I have changed the shape a bit and made the spacing on the grille smaller.

I have been advised by a very reputable, experienced and respected member of our community that I make the grilles brass photo-etched. He was very kind in helping me to achieve that. This is still work in progress. I hope that very soon I will be able to provide more details including the pricing.
