Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

The Studio Models never had "Windows" cause of Camera glare and I am sure the Deago won't have it either. Although it looks like the CG ships from the SW VII Trailer have glas canopies so future models might have to be tweaked ;)

Well, according to the instructions in issue 18 posted by a member on the Build the Millennium Falcon forum they are an assembly jig used to support the hull while building the upper half, there looks to be 8 sections of jig that will fit together to form a larger circular jig...

I just got off the phone to Mr deagostini and he said they are definitely windows!

From DeAgostini on the forums...
"We advise not gluing the cockpit at Stage 9 because there are some minor details to be added; there will also be the later option to add windows."
so yes windows are an option if you want them, I wonder what the other cockpit details will be, maybe they're working on figures?

Also..
"Yes, both gunners’ cockpits and the access tunnel are being modelled in great detail, including the instruments and gun controls."
I'd assume if they were giving us the bottom turret interior, we would probably get the exterior gun even though the studio model and MR model used this area for a mount instead.

Deagostini are making this model with both guns. They already confirmed that a long time ago, but i can't find the link. They definitely are though.

The studio filming model had the bottom turret, and turret window, and gun mount. Most pic's show it without though, as you say because they used that area to also mount it.

As Zorg mentioned in him post, there are windows. The Falcon on the Deagostini booth at Celebration had them:

That is also the prototype too... but even if it did come with windows, I am pretty sure I'd leave them out on my build or use a thinner clear plastic to make them look more in scale.

Looking close at that, it doesn't look bad on the top or front, nothing a dip in Future floor wax won't fix. That model's been beat up, the back engine deck was all broken up, that side of the cockpit window closest to us, when zoomed in, looks like it's smashed, pushed into the cockpit, with a big crack in the bottom section. On their forum, DeAgo was saying they were looking into re-tooling the window frame to make it more correct due to the complaints there.

Just received 15, 16, 17 and 18. Twice. In one huge parcel.

Should I tell them, or only tell them if they've charged me double?

At least call them at the phone number in the emails they sent regarding the payments you have made. That's just due diligence to me, if they just decide to charge you later (if they did not) you can say with all honesty you asked and they said no (if they do say no).

Yup, honesty is the best policy, email sent, I'll give it 'til Friday, if I haven't heard back, I'll give them a call.

Thanks!

PS: this is a fantastic kit! ;)
