Deagostini Falcon. Anyone seen this?

Tony has a Belly Gun already made for the Deago and a gunner seat, controls and turret well for the Hasbro that he can adapt to the Deago no problem once we have more of the Deago for specs..

No point jumping to conclusions. They could be made of cheese for all I know..

Also, as the belly gun was not on the filming model exterior, I'm fine with it not being included. It was only seen in one scene of the exterior of the full size falcon. Including the interior sections is a welcome touch as you can choose to view them or not, having them in the model doesn't alter the exterior.

Cheers

Michael

Actually the 32 inch did have a belly turret. You can see it in the Chronicles book.

I'm talking about the gun that drops out of the hull to shoot the snow troopers as the falcon gets ready to leave hoth. The lower gun TURRET has always been there, yes.

I was actually talking about the bottom turret gun.

My Mistake, I thought you were talking about the small hidden gun. The prototype displayed might not have it, but it was damaged in shipping. I'm pretty sure the lower turret will have a gun.

That's a right kick in the guts.

Annoying how they have been doing these model part subscriptions in Australia for years (Star Wars fact file, build the mclaren, build a wooden sail ship of somesort, etc etc) but then this comes along and they say "nah you have to wait two years after the other countries". W######s. They should be looking after a customer base that have at least been supporting them for a good number of years! I saw this advertised on Austar back in October last year.

I dont have to worry as I'm subscribed overseas but I certainly feel for you.

On another note WHO painted that display model? They shoulda just left it in its standard factory finish.

Always weird to quote myself.

Not sure who meant what but I was saying Tony makes the Snowtrooper killer gun for the Deago already.

Also he makes the Gunner well, Chair, and Controls for the Hasbro and will be adapted for the Deago once he has measurements.

Peace out.

Honestly I don't believe it's anything against Austrailia itself, I think it may have to do with one of two things or both... 1 - Licensing. they may only be able to produce for a certain number of countries or may have to purchase another liceanse to offer it in yours. 2 - Supply. I believe they seriously underestimated the demand for this kit when they began to offer it. I'm sure they are trying to scramble to keep up with the demand. I know I hate waiting myself, but I'm sure they'll get to you sooner or later! I know how you feel thou... I had to wait for it to come here in the US for over a year! So patience padawan... good things come to those who wait! :)

They always have had different offerings in different countries and it can be annoying. There is a fabulous 1/8 scale Shelby Mustang partwork that is only available in UK.It would sell like hot cakes in USA, but it is not available here. There is also an amazing 1:16 all metal Japanese Zero kit that was only offered in Japan and UK and not USA.

You may actually not be that far behind because once all of the issues have been produced they may offer it as a complete kit to purchase as well as a partwork. I don't have any information about this from the company, but it has happened with some other partworks they offer.

OK, I am a late subscriber (in the UK) and my customer number is at about 7000... I do not call this a lot or that they may underestimated the demand. What about fellow collectors in the US - any idea how many subscriptions they got in the States?

They've done that for years though. We're always 6 months to a year behind on partworks. Pretty sure the Fact Files that just came out down here are up to their mid 70's in the UK atm. Victory and Sovereign of the Seas came out here way later than the UK.

Just seems to be the DeAgostini ones that come out way later, the Hachette ones are generally 6-8 months behind.

I have also subscribed from overseas, but shipping costs are hurting me right now.

Meanwhile, back in the USA: I'm happily surprised at how quickly they got my order out. I signed up after the Star Wars Celebration weekend and I just got the first shipment today. That's a lot sooner than I expected. Twenty-four more shipments to go. DeAgostini must have the market cornered on cardboard boxes.

Didn't take long at all once I subscribed. I want all my parts now! :) not only do I need all my parts, but I also need the aftermarket parts on Shapeways. This is going to be the most expensive kit I've ever bought. The other two most expensive where Randy Coopers Spinner and Anigrands SD. They both came in at $500 each. There are some really good builds going on right now on Model Space. I just love reading and seeing what everyone is doing to there kits. We all ant to have a accurate model, but there's a lot of personal touches that make each build unique. This falcon is going to be huge. It didn't hit me until I saw my first batch of parts. This is going to fun detaiing this kit!

This is a fascinating conversation to follow, though for myself, going the "28-inch Hasbro plus detailing" route will have to do as I am a typical tight-wad, impatient modeler (translated: I want Tamiya quality at Lindberg prices delivered yesterday - with free shipping!) ;^P

Glad you 'guys' are having fun with it so far; I'm pulling for you!
Regards, Robert

I went ahead and ordered this to my mother in the UK. (I live in Norway) But my credit card has not been charged, and its been 2 weeks since I ordered... Does the first shipment get sent with an invoice? or should I try to get hold of customer services?
Super excited to get this build underway, as the model looks amazing! Not sure about ordering detail parts from shapeways, but will consider it once i get the building going.

Mine was within a day... but I'm in the US. I'd call customer service just to be safe. contacting them is never a bad move if you have questions.

I waited a month to get anything. Invoice included in first shipment. Some size t-shirts are out of stock and may not be included.
