Cyberpunk city diorama

Be my guest, George-san!

I think pizza is a kind of perfect food. It's a delicious and appetizing look. It can be a simple lunch or snack and also a gorgeous dinner plate. That makes sense why many people love this food. It goes pretty well with coke, root beer, cold beer, or wine. It has fiber, less grease, and preserves any vitamin because it is cooked in high heat for a quick time. And easy to cook if you understand the making of the dough. The variety is countless. It's soul food. I think it's far better than Japanese soul food Ramen in many ways.
The first time I have pizza was in 1971 when I was 14. There was no franchise like Domino or any. My father took us to an Italian restaurant in Ginza Tokyo. I guess it was rather an expensive dish then. I remember that taste so impressive to me.

Oh yeah, I have always sworn that both Pizza and Cheeseburgers are the perfect foods.

They hit all parts of the food pyramid

They have...

Grains - the bread/dough
Fruit - Tomatos are technically a fruit not a vegetable, or in the case of pizza if you like Hawaiian pizza, the pinneapples
Dairy - the cheese
Protein - meats
Vegetables - lettuce/spinach for the burger and various topping like broccoli etc for the pizza

All the essential daily food recommendations in one slice or one burger

I can never miss one good burger or pizza!
....And french fries.
The dough and meat around my belly show it.:p:lol:

I haven't thought about the inside of this level yet. Maybe a clean promenade or something??

These gargoyles might better be set in a higher place but let's see later.

This line-up style of display also looks interesting.
In this case, the entrance of the hotel will be connected with a bridge to the next apartment.
The third floor of the apartment is provided as a hotel room.

Still, the place of the display is not officially fixed yet. So I am trying to build each building to be freely arranged for now.

Thanks for looking!

^^
It's getting bigger by the day Katsu-san:cool::cool:(y)(y):notworthy::notworthy: You'll need an extension to your home sooner rather than later:p

:lol:Never happen!

I like the idea of having a clean and fancy type of area in contrast to the stuff below

Thanks! Let's see what I can do.

Love the purple photographs. Your Diorama has an excellent “artistic mood” to it. Made me watch both Blade Runner movies again. Then had to buy the sound track music.

Thank you for your kind comment! I'm so happy to hear that!

Which he himself will no doubt build. Win-win. :D

:eek:I got a hunch that the bad boys are back in town!:lol:

Thank you! :notworthy:

Today, I got to clean up the weeds around the house. Bit tired but a cold beer was tasty like heaven.

It's been a long since I refrained from listening to any recent music neither domestic nor Western. They say it's a sign of getting old. Indeed. I am not listening to music during the build very often but lately, I miss some old songs I used to listen to. '70s to '80s.
I guess you too have favorite songs.
Here are some popular Japanese songs I loved from that era.
Their singing performance is extraordinary and I can find no more these days.

Melody, Song by Koji Tamaki. He was one of the legendary.
From 1min 30 sec
Wine red heart

Akira Fuse covering the My Way.
Kimiha bara yori utsukushii - You are more beautiful than roses.

Kiyohiko Ozaki, Mata au hi made. Until I see you again

Hibari Misora kawa no nagare no youni - Like a river runs through.
She was a real Queen.

Linda Ronstadt, Blue Bayou
Albert Hammond, It never rains in southern California, etc, etc...

Haha, I am getting old.

Please tell me your favorite old songs.

:D

Those are all great singers

as for me, I have some weird tastes in music. I generally like almost all styles of music and my favorites being bands like Queen, The Flaming Lips, and T.Rex

One of my favorite albums is The Flaming Lips Yoshimi Battles the PInk Robots

TheFlamingLips-YoshimiBattlesThePinkRobots.jpg

This being the title track

although this is probably their most famous song off that album

However recently I have been obsessed with some very odd and unique stuff like this Mongolian band

The vocal performance of Lizzy Hale (from Halestorm) is very beautiful and haunting and gives me chills when she sings and is a very fitting tribute for my wife and daughter

and this one is pretty good

and then this band who describes themselves as "amplified history from early medieval northern Europe". playing ancient instruments ranging from war horns and a human forearm bone to skin drums and a ravanahatha

This song Krigsgaldr translates to something like "Battle Wizard". There are parts in old Norse as well as a part in English
It is about foreign raiders coming to take over a village, but being driven back by magic

I find them very hypnotic and something I can leave in the background while modelling

This is a live version

the official video tells more of a story visually but can be a bit disturbing to watch

Thanks for the reply, Analyzer-san!
And oh, I am liking The Flaming Lips!
I didn't know this artist but it is one of my kinds of music.
Sure you got a young at heart!

I have just painted this part like this.
Honestly, it's not what I expected. I think it's looking too busy.

I think I am gonna make it a bit tone downed or paint it flat in gray or tan.

Thanks for looking!

I do like the stripes as they are kind of stylish.

But then again, a classic uniform color stone or marble look might be nice

a technique similar to this

Or keep them, but maybe lighten the contrast and try to make them look like different color marble/granite

Thanks for the advice, and interesting technique. Analyzer-san.

1. I think the whole thing is beautiful as it is.
2. It may well look better without the stripes.
3. With the way the supports are slanted, keeping the stripes but angling them downward a bit might make an interesting look.

So far, #2 would be the better option for me. I think I was just too elaborate for this part. That is one of my many bad habits. Regretting doing too much. Sometimes simplicity is the solution.

Everything looks amazing!
Thank you so much, SCUDMAN-san!!

Today, I moved the buildings to the living room. Many things remain, but the space in my work shack is getting pretty tight. I bought a small coffee table for the display.

The good thing is my wife looks so happy with it and loves this city block so much. And also she happened to give me an idea for the inside of the upper arches structure.

One of the best seasons for our small garden.
