Cloud City Lando Comlink Run

I am currently working with eethan to do a run of 20 cloud city comlinks. Parts are in production now. 3 of the comlink spots are already taken. Working on settling on a price also. I have acquired enough original mesh and all pieces except the mesh bezel piece and the general control company toggle switch frame will be made of aluminum. The toggle switch frame will be cast directly from an original, all other parts of the toggle switch will be aluminum. Each comlink will have a display stand included. I will only be doing 20 of these comlinks so if you would like to have your name put on the list for one of the remaining 17 please let me know. Once I am set on a price I will be asking for half up front to cover material costs.
This has definitely been a prop I have wanted for some time and I'm very excited to get these as accurate as I can. Thank you all for your interest, here are a few production photos of the comlink so far.

the metal parts are going to be awesome and Ryan is a really great prop maker, so this is going to a really cool looking prop and a must have

Indeed all the machined parts will be amazing. Matthieu is extremely skilled and precise. I am very excited to be working with him on this project.

Hello,

first off, we lost internet here again. last time was two weeks ago... (and it was a technician probably that unplugged us last time...) we have an appointment on Tuesday, so that will be annoying and my communication won't be as good as usual. will do my best to update.

I worked on the metal bezel parts again today, I started by making a spacer to hold the pieces away from the lathe chuck and perfectly parralel:

with the part in it:

and here we are with the second step done on all parts. Just need the recess in the center now.
I added a sanding pass on the chamfer before the final size pass on the front, that way there is no turning lines and after polishing, it will mimic the chromed part perfectly that should be a nice improvement compared to the prototype

I also printed the prototype top bezel part. sorry the part names are difficult with this project and we didn't come up with a name chart yet, we also get confused discussing them with Ryan sometimes

I cleaned the print and I'm perfectly happy with the result, so that should be ok for the run if that is good for Ryan as well
This is my own master, I'm sending the file over to Ryan and he will do his own master from it for the run.

Hey guys,
quick internet access and update for the parts
I made quite a bit of progress today

round bezels are finished!
I'm really happy with the result, I have improved them as I wanted compared to the prototype and they look great

AND, I have started on the toggle flat bar. This one is made out of a long part that I will then cut into thin pieces and cleanup:

hopefully my internet will be fixed on Tuesday. probably no updates until then.
