There is so much coo stuff to look at. The lighting is perfect
This’s turning out beautifully Katsu-san !.
It’s also looking very big !, where will it be placed once you’ve finished ?
Thank you, Ged-san!This is just getting better and better. Thank you for sharing this journey with us, Katsu-san.
I like the pictures from your house and garden as well.
A bit of Spring & Blossom going on here too:

Thank you, Michael-san.Its FINALLY starting to warm up here, a little bit. Yesterday got to 60 degrees. They said the last time it got to 60 was last November. Been really cold since.
Its now a good temperature....but still not ready for the 100+ degree weather that summer usually brings.
Thank you, Ged-san.Thanks for asking (regarding the weather) Katsu-san.
Well, it’s supposed to be autumn, but depending on where you live on this continent - it’s definitely cooler here in the west ( where I live in Perth ) after a blistering summer. However, over east they’d be confused for thinking that winter has come months early - due to severe temperature drops, rain, hail and snow in parts over the last few days !!!
Appreciate that you and your good wife ( how’s she going by the way ?), have more room in your home now that the ‘children’ have flown the coop, but are you really considering having this ( Sexy, but brilliant !) build in your bedroom ?....,
or, maybe that’s what you intended all along you sly devil !![]()
As I posted the same on the AAV Drop ship thread too, but, one of the things I'm afraid of is the diorama might be looking like a construction miniature in an architectural office. Small, neat, and cohesive. It's all right to me somehow but that is not what I want to express. I have to think about the difference between those miniatures and the one I want to build.
Here is the Japanese word "Mitate".
It is a very difficult word to explain even to Japanese natives.
This word has several meanings.
Diagnose, Evaluate, Select, and Compare.
Also, metaphors in an artistic way.
Japanese gardens often (or most of the time) use some sort of "look-alike" technique. For example, in 'Kre-Sansui' adry gardens, white sand, and pebbles (patterns) can be considered "flows of water." They dare not use real water to enjoy the look-alike (Mitate).
Something I would say is that "Mitate" is a skillful combination of different dimensional senses.
Sometimes, I can find the strangeness of the combination in the work of the modeler in RPF threads. Those works are very charming. It may be very difficult for me to express it in my model but the thought of those is one of the fun of building.

If you have any comments or questions, I will be happy to talk about them.
Katsu
This is really looking like a busy city with things going on.
You've always been good at not only just designing something, but then making the outside AND whole complete inside part, and it always looks so interesting.
You know, it would be interesting to see other parts of the inside of the death star, becides the parts you only see in the movies.
Like, what donthe crew living areas look like, or other areas, food court, maybe even shopping areas.
As big as both were suppose to be, they would have plenty of other type areas in the thing.
Outstanding work! I love your attention to detail!
Love that ceiling and all those different pipes/details. I particularly like the overhead wires; it lends a level of "Real World" to the whole diorama
Keep up the excellent work Katsu-san![]()

Looks like it could be a movie set
The best part is all those details look like they have a purpose rather than just being stuck on randomly.
That is one of the things that make it look like a real place
Thank you George-san! It's far from what my respecting Hollywood people do but thank you so much!Katsu-san, someone in Hollywood should offer you a job as set builder.
You could really outdo yourself (like you are kind of doing right now)
