Cyberpunk city diorama

Hey Katsu-san, so happy to hear that your wife’s condition is diagnosed/manageable, and that she’s going to be o.k. !
Also that your (very talented) daughter is settling in well in her new ‘living space’...., I’d say her ‘new’ home, but in my mind ‘home’ is wherever your heart is, and even though I’ve lived alone for a few years now (both my ‘adult’ children have moved out) , I see them quite regularly and they still consider where they used to live as their 1st ‘Home’.
Just wanting to wish you and your family well, as well as your friends and community, especially with the news about an ‘unprecedented’ storm heading towards Japan....., please stay safe my friend !

Thank you, Ged-san,
This is a good time for me to look back to see what was all about. What about the relationship with my wife? And accepting that my daughter is no longer under my protection. Still, I have a place for them as their home in my mind.

And thanks for your kind words for me. Yes, I've gotten prepared for that typhoon today. also, there was a terrible thunderstorm, a mid-sized earthquake came together. What a day!

You can always be your daughter's protector, just in different ways now

She may not be at home, but she is only a phone call or chat away

Good to hear your wife was ok

Hopefully your out the path for the worst of the typhoon. Sounds like lots of crazy weather

and good luck with the repairs

Thank you, Analyzer-san. Yes, I am going to keep the place in my mind for my daughters.
Just like when my daughter Miki got serious depression several years ago. A family member may need the last concrete hard shelter to escape.

Stay safe, Katsu-san & family !
Fingers crossed you will all be safe

Oh, thank you, George-san!

Katsu-San, your family are always in my thoughts.

Thank you, sir. That is so strong support for us.

I know this is the forum about model building but I never get so many warm and sincere friendships and support so many times. Thank you very much. It is a very hard time for me now but I can make it with you all.

The family should always be the solid rock of love and understanding for any child, or teenager...and knowing that you're there for your children is reassuring for everyone involved. (y) (y)

I don't remember who said this. Maybe a book I read before or a movie I watched. 'The most important day in your life is the day you are born and the day you know why—something like this. I don't know whether the day I was born is an important day or not. But when my babies called me papa the first time, I knew why.

Thank you, joberg-san, my friend.

Thank you, my friends,
Thanks for your kind thought for us, that series of last weekend's typhoon raids didn't do anything bad for my house.
So, I started to repair my house again. Today, I finished the eaves of the south side window this morning. That had been damaged badly. Not by the typhoon. Too old. Hammering the nails on the backside of the eaves was so hard. Made my arms and back and waist so hurting. Oh, I want to buy a nail gun. It's midnight. I can't sleep well due to the pain, so I get up and sit facing the PC screen. Maybe I'm too old for those. I should take some painkillers and take a morning bath now.

Thank you,
katsu

That sure is a lot of hard work

And with hard work comes those aches

Hope you feel better
Thanks, woo, pain. But I praise myself. I woke up at 6 this morning and I did a weeding this morning. Took 2 hours. Then I cleaned up my work shack. Took 2 hours, too.
Oh, this is the men's job!

Pssst!...., Katsu-san !......, we’re not as young, healthy or ‘good-looking’!? , as we ‘think’ we are anymore !.:unsure::oops:......,Take care buddy !;):p

To regain my power, I cooked a half pound of nice Angus beef steak and green salad with some nice fresh asparagus and I devoured it with some red wine. Tomorrow, I am gonna paint the wood deck and pool. I'm gonna work till I die. you would better prepare the condolence gift for my funeral.
I need power! Unlimited power!!

Staying active is what helps keep you young

The old saying of "use it or lose it" definitely applies to getting old

The less active people are, the less you are able to do in the long run and the quicker you lose mobility

Not to say people need to over do it, but things like simple walking around and moving instead of sitting all day

Same with your mind. It is good to keep it engaged

Repair and repaint of the pool - Done
Weeding all around - Done
Repair damaged eaves - Done
Repair and repaint the wood deck - Done
Clean up the kitchen ventilation fan unit - Done (That was A job. It's a miracle that I could get it back again.)
Plus, I managed to keep the rooms clean and organized. I cooked the proper meal every day and less drinking. I felt like I was back in my younger days when I lived alone. I was feeling like I'm new. I got some pain in my back and my knees thou.
And I got a call from my wife Yesterday. She'll be back next Saturday. One month. I was afraid it could be longer.

Thank you for your kind care for us, my friends. I owe you a big one.
We're going to start up again.
My model project, too.

Katsuhiko
