Chewbacca's original bowcaster found and restored

I have this feeling those screw caps are furniture feet. I found some where the center bumps out until you nail them down then it dents inward.

You can even see marks from the original string wrap in ANH on the stock!

This is so very cool. I never realized the ROTJ side plates were much simpler.

Could they be a larger finishing washer and they had some scrap manufacturing parts that didn't get the center hole? Ya, I'm reaching here...

I can totally see that

Today I helped a friend move a bed.. I did not have my phone with me so I don’t have a picture.

but the bed had metal donut caps where the bolts screw into the legs that hold the main rails attached

They were much smaller, but now I’ve been googling bed leg caps..

When I pulled the cap out of the hole, there was 4 sharp tiny triangle legs that grab the inside of the wood in the hole and kept it in place

These were far too small, but looked scary close

The furniture caps I found, the ones you hammer the dent in the middle, we’re also too small but looked exactly the part

Any idea what time this item will be auctioned?
Absentee bids have already started and are ongoing I'm assuming until the auction ends. It looks like from the info on the website, the auction will begin at 10:30AM PDT and lots are sold sequentially via the live auctioneer. It looks like the lot number for this one is 358, of 452, so probably the live portion of for this item, and the ending, will be closer to the end of the day today, March 26th.
