Interest The Force Awakens ALL ALUMINUM CHEWBACCA BOWCASTER PROP

Hi, I been at my local machine shop organizing all the parts that are already made and I been assembling the parts on the 3D printed Bowcaster frame. Here are some pictures of the first Bowcaster frame in the CNC machine after all the changes were made in the step files. It should be machined by Friday before they can do the pocket for the trigger and then all the holes drilled and tapped. According to the owner of the machine shop, it will take two to three days to fully machine a frame. I would like to paint and assemble at least 5 at at time. It will be better to do all once they are done, but I don't want to keep you guys waiting much longer. I am very very pleased how stunning the parts came out. Even the single point scope in the middle came out even better than the original, no bubbles or imperfections trapped inside the acrylic piece. Notice that the scopes are hollow and not solid like the original. Here are some pictures. I will take pictures of the slings too. I will be posting more pictures over the weekend. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you guys have any questions. Thank you again for your patience.

Great work!

Hi guys, happy Monday. Here are a few more pictures of the frame progress, we are ready to flip the frame so we can machine the other side, then do the radius and clean the edges and then drill holes and tap them.

Happy Saturday. I am glad to inform you that the final frame is almost done before we start production. I will have the finished assembled Bowcaster this coming week. Here is the frame all machined, the aluminum hat held the frame in the CNC machine will be removed, the top block of aluminum where the barrel will be attached will be put in place and all the rest of the parts will be assembled. Almost there, I can't wait to paint the first one and compare it side to side to the original prop. Thank you again for your patience and support.

Working on the Bowcaster now. The top block where the barrel goes is done, and the front piece of the frame was machined in order to fit the front piece that secures the prod in place. This thing is looking better and better as we getting closer to completion. I will be posting pictures for more updates. Thank you for your patience and continued support.

Hi, good morning. I apologize for not been able to provide more updates. I had to travel to Spain twice. My mother lives there and she has health issues related to her memory, and my siblings and I needed to help her relocate to live closer to one of my brothers. I have update pictures, I will post them over the weekend. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding.

Yes, others have been dragged through the coals for taking money and then not producing product or even communicating consistently with those who placed deposits (like we did almost 3 years ago). What is the status of this run?

Good afternoon, I apologize for not been able to communicate, I was overseas taking care of my mother which have health issues and I had no choice but leave and be away. I just came back Wednesday night and the first thing I did was to stop by at the machine shop yesterday to assemble the first Bowcaster to test fit all the parts and take these pictures.

Good afternoon, yes, is unfortunate the long wait, Covid hit me hard on 2021 just a few months after started this run, dead wife, delays with the machine shop, delays with the sheet metal shop and delays with the third machine shop in CA due to doing the wrong bend on the aluminum prods. This is a project that I wanted to be perfect and beyond, since this is the best opportunity I had to be able to put my hands on the very same props it was sed in the film and a rare one too since less than seven were made before the Studio decided to stop producing props for the general public. If you would like your deposit back please send me a private message and I will grant it to you. I have done other runs here in the RPF before, I have always delivered my work to the fan community to the best of my possibilities and to meet or exceed the expectations. If you feel that I have dragged you or others to a dead end is not my case, so far I completed the runs. Thank you for your feedback, patience and understanding.

Good evening. Here is finally the final revision of The Force Awaken all CNC aluminum Bowcaster. It was sand blasted today and assembled. Now starting next week all the frames will be machined and the assembling will be next before I can proceed to start painting and weather them. I can't give a shipping date yet, there are still logistics I need to address like the carton boxes I will need to order and the packing material that I will need, I need to figure out the costs which will be invoiced with the shipping costs for each order. Thank your patience.

Good morning, here are more pictures, one of them is with Joonas Suotamo, who was very impressed and he will get one too. From here, today February 5th, 2024 we will run all the frames, which will take approximately 3 business weeks. All the Bowcasters will be assembled like the one in the pictures I shared, and I will paint and weather them ALL at the same time. This week I will organize the work stations with all the parts, so by the time the frames are machined they can do the assembly. I will also take measurements of the Bowcaster so I can order all the double wall carton boxes and the packing materials. Unfortunately the shipping of this prop is not going to be cheap and full insured will be included in the final invoice. Please feel free to ask any questions, concerns. Thank you again for your patience and empathy on this run.
