Captain America: Civil War

I couldn't hear anything when I watched the Spidey eyes change, but his voice bugs me because he sounds like he's about 10 years old.

Trailer is amazing!! I can't get Stark's attitude about this. He is directly to blame for 2 of the 3 tragedies that Ross showed in the film. Then he says he's here to fix things. **** you Stark! If you wanted to save the world then commit suicide.

Black Panther looks amazing, Spidey, looks good enough, direct throwback to the old Spider-man outfits, and everyone loved Deadpool's eyes moving so let's not get too upset when Spidey's eyes do it! Yeah Spidey sounds young, it's freakin Tom Holland, he looks 12.

This is basicly what i thought when i first saw the trailer. The direction of the looks they want are great but it just doesnt look good.
It needs to be worked on up until release. The high resolution pics show the details. The suit looks good.
The retractable lenses on the eyes need work badly. Every picture looks like an early model. The shading/lighting looks way off and fake.
Overall, the Atlanta summer sun is probably ruining the lighting of the suit and making it look superimposed. Odd that they chose this setting to reveal him, but they probably couldn't pass up the opportunity to show him with the shield in order to promote the movie.

I'm confused. The trailer shows our heroes as though they were directly responsible for the events that occur in that opening presentation.

New York: Loki invaded Earth on his own and brought forth the alien army that was causing all that havoc. The Avengers were recruited and managed to put a stop to them.
Washington DC: Captain America and Black Widow discovered that SHIELD was in fact Hydra and they were planning to commit mass murder on pretty much everyone. You were most likely on that list of people to be executed as well Ross. You're welcome.
Slovakia: Tony created Ultron, Ultron wanted to destroy the world-

Wait. Let me get this straight. After everything that Ultron had done in trying to destroy the world, it's Tony telling Steve that he needs to tone down his antics? Please tell me that someone is going to mention that Tony and Bruce created Ultron WITHOUT telling anyone else. Creating Vision doesn't help mitigate the issue because THEY STILL HAD THE AUDACITY to not tell anyone. Please tell me that someone is going to bring these details up because there's no reason why Steve should be the problematic element here.

While it's a plausible explanation... it seems weird to have what looks to be a fabric costume with just that little bit of tech for his eyes... when he's done fine in the past with regular "lenses" for the eyes.

Not that it changes how amped I am about this movie but the Spider-Man reveal seems forced. I hoped that there's more leading up to that with Spidey and it's not like they just picked him up hitchhiking on their way to a big battle like it seems in the trailer.

Oh, and what/where is THIS place?

Looks like The Raft from the comics.

Has anyone figured out who this is?

Sorry, not digging the spiderman uniform.

The reason I'm not digging it is not because it doesn't look good. It does. But to me it just doesn't fit. You have all these new aggressive style uniforms/suits ie iron man, Captain america, war machine, ant man, and then you have a "classic" spiderman suit. Either make them all classic style or all a new modern aggressive style. It just doesn't fit the theme. That's just my opinion.

I get what you're saying but, for me, as the costumes for these superheroes were getting "modernized," my fear has always been that a shared aesthetic might get tiresome as the number of MCU characters grew. The palate of deep muted blues or purples with arterial blood reds. The aggressive spaulders. And especially the over-textured and near-overworked details (e.g. Do cap's ab stripes need to be crenelated? Does Thor really need that much fluting in his armor?). An over-elaborated or textured spidey suit would look too similar to the last spidey suits and even to the Superman costume. They had to make him stand out. Going retro makes so much sense in many ways. It's a refreshing change to me.

I get why it is the way it is. It's slowly growing on me, we'll see

What does Iron Man say when he is calling for Spider-Man? I can't understand him

Yeah the trailer is kinda cut that way, but they are just reacting to the tragedy being shown and not necessarily feeling totally responsible for it, but Ross might make it sound like they are (which is true in the case of Tony and Bruce). In the movie it's his approach to push the idea that people are afraid and they need to put a government backed system in place among other things. They might do the blame game for sometime bringing up the creation of Ultron, but the stakes are different and they have other timely matter to discuss at that moment.

Avengers 3...erm, Civil War, looks like it might be a solid entry. I was vocal after AoU about being burned out on Marvel but darned if this doesn't look swell. Spidey is just the frosting on the cake. I'm not sure if the classic retro suit was the right call or not yet--I think I'll need more context. If it's SUPPOSED to look like a thing a kid made in his bedroom, great. If not, he stands out a bit. Still I like it. Old school Spidey come to life. :D
