Captain America 2: Winter soldier Bomber Jacket

. The Steve Rogers jacket seems to be made from one shade of blue (one in mesh, looking darker than the textile fabric), has brass zippers all over, no logos and no closures at the collar or cuffs - no closures means you would have air whistling up your sleeves and down your neck when you ride. I can't see any inner lining and TheStuntman over at filmjackets said his friend - Chris Evans' stunt double - described the jacket as lightweight, easy to wear without getting hot, like a sports jacket by Nike or Adidas.

Slightly off topic but I don't think the cold bothers Steve anymore....:lol

Going to go on a fabric hunt and pattern something up at the end of April as I really love this jacket. I'll be making both a male and female version

Except for the panel across the crest at Fieldsheer is a good second that is until Looch shows what he has in the works.

Might have to retract what I said about wrist closures; see the left wrist below:

I think I'll wait for the blu-ray to come out before I start my pattern.

To Kevin, you should listen...close it may be, exact it is not. You have to hear that with a Yoda voice.

Let's be honest... that leather jacket is on par with the Dickies mod idea, just without the work, but it won't survive a side by side comparison with the movie jacket.

If you own one and are happy that is the important part. 90% of people who see the jacket will think Captain America.

Gotta agree, that looks absolutely nothing like the jacket seen on screen. And the unfortunate truth is that most of these sites that sell these kinds of jackets, use no images of the jacket itself on their sites, etc. are made with the absolute cheapest materials available, and no care or attention goes into how the jackets are constructed, it's more than likely going to fall apart seam by seam within a year. I would be extremely surprised if it was real leather, it's more than likely a poly vinyl or something similar.

Me also thinks that Katerose might work for that site, take a look at his profile, the only posts he has are the ones here, and one other in a Need For Speed jacket thread, which he says "Site looks good" and it's another site affiliated with that Slimfitjackets site or whatever the hell it's called.

Have you got a picture of the actual jacket katerose? It may be better it the flesh than the stock photo.

Welcome to The RPF!
It's always great to see a company actually take interest in things being as close a possible, and not just throwing a blue jacket on their site for the sake of getting hits or making a few bucks.

Looks loud and obnoxious lol But that's more of a personal preference, I've always hated jackets like these ones.

As for the jacket itself, maybe it's just the pictures but it looks extremely cheap, the sleeve proportions look a little wonky, really wide. Not really too sure what to make of the site, at first glance it comes across as another one of those cheap sites that throw jackets together with the cheapest materials, similar to the site that we just talked about with Katerose. And the pictures of their jackets also pop up on quite a few of these cheap knockoff sites. All of that is a major red-flag for me personally.

My stupid tablet doesn't wanna add pics to my posts, so you can see the build on my FB page-find me under Luciano Uccedo. More work on it tonight, but I think it's coming along nicely!

Can't wait to see how its coming along! I'm curious to know what materials you went and used for it.

Feel free to visit my FB page. The fabric was a lightweight cotton canvas for the light blue, and an upholstery fabric for the dark. I was looking for a match for the textures. Plus, there is a sports mesh inside the zips. I hope to find some wicking material for the lining.

Alright, jacket is done except for the lining. See it on my FB, or on my Pintrest!
