Captain America 2: Winter soldier Bomber Jacket

Feel free to visit my FB page. The fabric was a lightweight cotton canvas for the light blue, and an upholstery fabric for the dark. I was looking for a match for the textures. Plus, there is a sports mesh inside the zips. I hope to find some wicking material for the lining.

Just checked it out and looks good! Check out some of the links I posted earlier if you're looking for some wicking material as I think they have some there.

Looch that looks amazing!!!! i want one!! or your pattern!

id like the pattern so i can make a canadian version!

Thanks so much! Glad you like the build:) I'll check out those links, for sure. I think we might have a store in town that carries someas well.

I put up a better shot on Pintrest. Now, let's see if I can finish cap's Avengers uniform by Saturday!

i think the darker blue might be a little bit too dark but that could be the lighting in the room. the lighter blue looks spot on though.

Yeah, I'll admit it's a bit dark, but it's got a great texture, and I wanted to get it done so I could start wearing it!

Agreed the dark blue looks way too blue. They 2 blues should be a shade close to each other, with the main section being just a tad darker. The texture of the material doesn't look like it matches all that well, and the collar looks way too tall. But other than that, it's coming along really nicely considering the short amount of time, most of the details all seem to be there, it's miles better than that Slimfitjackets piece of crap lol. It's definitely a great starting point.

Kwik sew 4032 looks pretty good. I used a kwik sew bomber pattern that I don't kniw if they make any more.

Looch I can't see the photos on FB or get access to your Pinterest. Could you post a photo(s) of the jacket on here when you get a chance?

yeah i saw that. looks good. any chance you will be redoing the outer fabric so that the colours match a bit better? or possibly dying it?

For my own purposes, no. If I made it for anyone else, I would spend more time hunting down something closer. How is your pattern coming along?

I hear ya. I work for a fraternity, and it's finals week.

I cant access the FB or Pinterest either, can someone screencap some pics of Looch's jacket? I'd really like to see it :D

I've been curious about the brown leather jacket he wears in the last scene, its hard to find pictures online but I would be curious if there is anything like it out there.

Looch. I hope you don't mind, just trying to help. I pulled your photos from Facebook, since we're friends. The reason no one else can see them is because you have your privacy on those photos set to friends only, as opposed to public, you should move them all into an album, make that album public, then link us all. Otherwise here are the pics I pulled so far. Feel free to re-arrange, or explain. Cheers!

If there is enough interest, I might be able to work this up for a reasonable price. It looks like some of the items found here are a good starting point. One thing I would mention though - I don't know how many guys other than Chris Evans will look good in this jacket. It's definitely designed for his proportions. Unless you've got broad shoulders and a tiny waist, it's probably not going to look great or feel comfortable. Just throwing that out there...
