Let me be clear: no panic. None. I dunno, J. That photo looks inconclusive. Look at the gap between the edge of the jaw box and the edge of the inner edge of the mandibles. The gap sure looks like the mandibles are going out straight. The inner edge of the mandibles should follow the line of the jaw box. Your red lines also don't line up with the piping that runs up the length of each mandible.

Again, not a big deal. It wouldn't stop me from buying the kit.

It's also worth noting that apart from the PG Falcon, Bandai's various Falcon models (1-144 & 1-350) are all from the LFL data from the digital asset of the Falcon from TFA & now updated to TLJ (non mirrored side walls).....the original 1-350 did have the ANH 3 gears, but did have the excessive pipework in the mandible pits & the docking rings, straight from the digital asset

Yeah, I wish it was a 1/350 Blockade Runner although in the meantime I'll settle for the 1/1000 one. At least I can display it with some of my other 1/1000 stuff

It’d take a bit more than that to do a full conversion of an OT Falcon to the TFA/TLJ Falcon.
