The full-size sets of the Falcon were intentionally undersized relative to their intended "real" scale, as were many other full-sized props, so I don't think a blueprint like this really puts the scale question to bed. I mean, even in this drawing the proportions of the ship are off compared to the studio model. At the end of the day, these are fantasy spaceships. The scale is whatever the filmmakers needed on the schedule and budget they had at the time to make the shot look cool. I put a 1/48 pilot in my Bandai A-Wing because it looks more like the studio model. It looks "right" to me. So to me it's 1/48 but people can call it whatever they like.
Talking about A-Wings,....I guess this puts to bed the scale issue with the Bandai kit,......Looks like they got it right again
