Kiddie Kane boots (shown on Legacy DVD by Mollo) match the auctioned Lambert kiddie boots. So doubt these were made after filming.
Kane may be wearing training shoes in that sitting down photo taken on set so you can't assume that is the space boot tread.
Propstore Dallas boots which match their Kane boots were adult sized, not sure how you would conclude they are kid size.
What photo are you seeing this pair in as used on film?

I cant be absolute but the Lambert boots that sold at auction are a horrible reproduction. In no way do they match the kids boots on set. See pic of the kids boots vs. the Dallas PSOL boots sold:
Note the low tops, I dont see what would look to be any sole pattern.
Now the PSOL Dallas boots...these are a match:
No sole pattern, low tops. It also appears that the boots look huge on the kids!!
Now the adult boots. they have the traditional Moon boot high sides. The traditional high rise sole all the way around the boot.

Pretty sure these were the boots worn during filming.
BTW where is the Mollo interview on the DVD?

Not sure what I am seeing in those pics, probably because they are of different boots and I am not sure which is which yet. The sandal like cover in a couple of the pics does look like something I have seen before though. I will also say that the tread on the bottom of Kane's boots look like fishing waders tread.
Any bigger versions of the pics above, because I can only get the thumbnails for some of these?

Those are the style Im looking for but with a closer resemblence to the soles kane is wearing.

Your right. We'll never know. I really dont think any of the adult screen used boots are still around. I would be interested to see if any of those are in Bob Burns collection altho Ive never seen any pitured.

From looking at the pics it looks like they each had different boots. I also think this pair I found might be a match to the kids boots and the ones Mollo is holding. I asked the owner about the manufacturer of the boots, but they said they could find no labels anywhere.

The Kane boots with the PS spacesuit have always been with it, which is why it was assumed (by me at least) they are adult sized.

The boots I posted are a womens size 7. Probably not worth the $70 they want for them, but if you want the link it is yours.

That is amazing and what a coincidence, I was just watching Alien this afternoon and for whatever reason happened to focus in on what Dallas was carrying as they approached the alien ship. Very well done! :thumbsup

Very cool. You know I always thought it was suspicious that the landing party carries a winch and a stretcher when they go out, and what do you know but the two exact things they happen to need, are a winch and a stretcher. :lol

I always assumed it contained an assortment of items that went together like an erector set so you fashion about anything you may need in any situation.

BTW, are you also going to recreate the Nostromo gun + belt ??? (I have to ask, now that I'm in for a Dallas armor !)
