TOUCHDOWN !!!

The helmet arrived safely in my hands last friday !!!

Well, what can I say... This is the most gorgeous prop replica I've ever seen !!! The detailing is amazing and its size makes it very impressive !!!

Steve & Richie, you guys are the best !!!

Im trying to do some research on the boots used in the film. Altho modified Im thinking they were a 70s Moon Boot.

Im posting the link to some pics Ive gathered in hopes someone may be able to help me track down the style used. The best reference for comparison would be the boot sole.

Any help would be appreciated.

The first pic is of Hurt as Kane. This is the only pic I know of that shows the sole details. The rest are of various Moon Boot pics.

I also added the kids boot pic. I think they are completely different but may help find a near match.

I know the thread itself is about (as the title say's) accurising the Hot toys Dallas and Kane 1/6th figures however reading through the thread this guy obviously knows quite a bit about the suits including it seems details of the boots (see post 20), I think he might be worth contacting (just a thought).

Good pic but unfortunately those werent screen used boots as far as we can tell. They dont match any of the screen shots. These may ahve been made for the PSOL suit as many of the items on that suit are reproductions.

BUT there are some cool reference shots that I havent seen before!!!

I made an interesting discovery today concerning the boots.

The Dallas boots that sold at PSOL wre the Dallas kids costume boots!! These were mistaken as adult boots or simply not screen used boots(By me.).

In the kids pic you can see the boots ( first time Ive seen this pic with the boots visible!!) and comparing them to the PSOL auctioned Dallas boots they are a match!

The boots shown on the auctioned kids Lambert costume must then be made later to simply fill in for the missing set on the kids suit! Not screen used.

I also believe that the PSOL boots may be the kids Kane boots as they are similar or reproductions.

I also now am 95% convinced that the screen used adult costumes are modified 70's vintage Moon Boots but I havent narrowed down the brand just yet.

I've tried to search for French moon boots of the late 70s / early 80s (since the film was in production in England / Europe, I thought it made sense to look for European brands instead of American ones) but no luck so far, alas...

I'll keep searching, but wanted to let you know that you could try those brands when looking on eBay or Google :

SALOMON

AIGLE

SOREL

TECHNICA

CORTINA (don't know if this one is french, must admit)

We could also try Italian, Swiss and Spanish brands too (we share the Alps with Italy and Swiss and Pyreneas with Spain).
