Better hurry up, guys.

received mine. Having a heck of a time finding something for my SS. I will hav it out as soon as I can when I find it.

mine will go out tomorrow
not as good as I wanted to send, but it should be acceptable

It's funny I felt the same way about the Gift I sent out as well. I think we are all OCD when it comes to props we build especially for others. Not saying it's bad as we then create some really awesome Pieces. We just need a reality check every now and again.

The crazy part is we all remember how awesome these things look on screen when the actual props were thrown together, most times out of trash with a quick coat of paint. Back in the days before High Def and still even now with High Def the Cameras used to capture the Images we obsess over were far less accurate than the naked human eye. I was lucky enough to visit the set of Babalon 5 when I was in college and when I saw the actual sets with cables slung down the wall taped over and quickly painted over I soon realized what we do and don't see on the screen. So really If we were going for authenticity with some of these props we would not worry about hiding seams with Bondo and sanding them smooth we should just put a piece of masking tape over it and hit it with some spray paint and call it done. :lol

Hoping that my second gift gets to my person soon. I hope they like it more than the first. Being new to the forum, it was hard to do something "proppy" but I hope they find joy in it regardless.

just dropped mine off at fedex, they said it would arrive Friday, Saturday at the latest. sorry its so late, but at least this way I know it wont be opened before Xmas!!!

Sending mine out tomorrow hopefully didn't get it finished as quickly as I wanted to that'll teach me to sew without a machine. ^^ anyway need to put some finishing touches on it and the I'll send it out with the fastest shipping option I can afford.

Sent mine out today. PMmed Orange Blend with info. Unfortunately it will probably arrive after Christmas. I apologize to my SS, but hope you like it.

Got mine today! An original piece of art by (I assume) Stephen Branson/chicoperdido815. I hung it on my tree for the pic:

Thanks, Stephen! I can put it with the art I received last year!

Alrighty. My "thank you" will include a story, bear with me. ;)

As the organizer of the event I found it a little disappointing knowing who my Santa was. I'm the type who loves surprises so knowing the person that's sending you the gift sometimes can eliminate that sense of true surprise. Finhead was my Santa this year and I must admit, he did a fantastic job of surprising the socks off me!

When I first sent him the PM with my address he replied with "what would you like?" I told him what my interests were and he said "oh, we don't have much in common! :lol"

I'm a primarily sci-fi guy and Finhead is primarily a superhero guy.

I told him not to worry too much about my interests, by now he had sent me a link to some of his work and I said "don't focus so much on my genres, you make cool stuff and I like cool things". I thought I always have room to expand my horizons, I noticed he had some artwork posted in his gallery so I figured I might get a cool painting or something like that. :)

Well, guess what arrived today...

:eek :eek :eek :eek :eek

He wrapped it like a tank so it was well protected. When opening it I noticed the Iron Man shape and thought "Holy crap! He went all out and sent me an IM helmet kit! But no! This thing was expertly painted and weathered (as any good helmet should be). It even had the detachable faceplate and rear portion!

Held on with magnets it's a BEAUTIFUL piece. I was admiring the craftsmanship of the helmet when I noticed a little button on the inside of the chin with a battery and some wires. I thought "no way..."

YES WAY!

I have no idea how I can thank Finhead enough! All I can say is that if he treats his customers half as good as some random guy he's sending a gift to on the internet you should buy everything he makes!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! I was shaking when I opened this and it will be a highly treasured part of my collection! Not to mention, as it's the only Marvel prop it'll stand out to everyone who visits!

I was just about to send you a message and wish you a merry christmas and my god, seeing this made me grin so big my girlfriend had to wave a copy of Megaman X for the SNES in my face to get my attention. (Favorite game of all time)

:lol

This just made MY day. :D I'm so happy cause I can't think of anyone other then you who should have something that beautiful for christmas (y)thumbsup(y)thumbsup:thumbsup

I'm mailing my gift out tomorrow, I just finished it up.... well the 3rd or 4th version of it.

So I had to do it, my girlfriend made me do it, lol, she had me open up my box from my SS and I'm having trouble typing this cause my eyes are actually watering.

Look at what they gave me:

(The last one is a picture of it with my Starwars Collection)

I actually love Robocop and the Ed209 made my dad jealous, he walked in and tried to steal it. :behave

But what got me most was the statue... not because it is Star Wars or it's from before I was born (Everything was way cooler before I was born, I mean, have you seen a plymoth Barracuda :lol) It's because it was a gift pulled out of his personal collection for me. It's become one of my 3 most prized possessions. Right there with OB's Saber and with the epic edition of gears or war 3 (Because my friend gave up his copy at the store so I could have one when the store only got 2 copies in and he paid for it for me)
