I was looking back at the film, the pick up shots must have been the attached scene, when the lunar lander was approaching Clavius...you can clearly see the wrist pad. I'm going to put it on mine for sure now.

Arm pads were only on the Re-Shoot Moon suits. Same for the large air fitting on the helmet. The scenes with Floyd in TMA01 the air fitting was tiny. Are you going for Floyd suit or Re-Shoot suit?

I might have some good reference when you start the Backpacks.

I have been going back and forth on it, and decided, since I'm not going screen accurate and adding extra detail, I'm going to go with the wrist pad and thicker hose...and any help with reference is always welcome. Im reworking my chest pack after seeing the auction photos and getting ready for the backpack. Any scale/dimension info is also a big help.

Had the laser cutter going today. I only need to cut the backs of the cards. Changed the design slightly of the "windows" by etching the boarder on the clear inserts and painting the edge white. Ignore the finish on the prototype card, dropped it on the floor when painting. ‍

Data cart prototype 2. One small tweak to this design and I have it. The "windows" need to recess a bit deeper, but the look is there. The blue part will have a satin finish, not gloss.

Dressing up the fans to redirect the airflow and coating them with plastidip...these work better then I anticipated.

I’d really like to see how you mount those in the helmet. What’s your strategy to getting fog out?
I'm taking advantage at the space created by the crown detail. This placement should clear my head, and will hit the visor in a way I believe will mitigate fogging...the fans are putting out a good amount of air. I'm just starting to figure out the padding. Im going to design the seams to look like access panels to the data card readers and air circulation rather than match the "circus tent" of the originals...I intend to vacuum form the visor this week end.

Finally getting back to it. I have not worked with PVA foam much, so I learned a lot this weekend about how to work it and I luv this stuff. here are the first set of pads I have shaped, I'm redoing the pieces over the fans, but really happy with the rest. Ready to coat. I'm thinking Plastidip, but any recommendations before I dive in? I will be spending time tomorrow fitting the pads over the fan wires so I'm not in a hurry to coat them.

I finished painting all the data cartridge and neck ring parts...ready to assemble once the internal pads are done. Speaking of the internal details, I am using some faucet screens to dress the interior holes up nicely.
