1/72 Cloud City Diorama with PG Falcon and FM Slave 1

Wouldn’t it be simpler to shim the interior of the boxes down a bit?

That's a good idea... I will have to do that... Should have waited to install the landing gear after mounting the gear boxes.

Hindsight is always 20/20

Looks great!

You are a much braver man than I cutting apart a $300 plus model!

It sure is worth it though to get the 5 gear version

Thanks! I've cut so much out of this bird already...lol... The gold thing is this is just the underside of the Falcon so I'm not as nervous as doing some major work on the more visible upper hull.

A little more progress on the bottom of my PG ESB Millennium Falcon:

Terrific work mate (y) . Really appreciate the last pic in your #248 post above ..., they’re all Bandai MF’s right !?
Now you’ve got all you need ( scaled model - wise ) to shoot your own Star Wars adventure featuring the Falcon if you wanted to! ;)

Yes sir, all Bandai's. Film making... sounds like a great idea to me! I need to finish my Cloud City platform, first...lol...

So true! I'm sure there are some smaller scales available through shapeways...lol

Looks like you might have to pick up the 1/2700 one for Zvedza Star Destroyer. I could always send you one of the of Micromachine ones I have ( I think it is around 1/700 scale )

LOVE the landing lights! What are you using for "fixtures"? I found a set on falcon3Dparts.com and I'm trying to decide how to approach this part of the build...

For the white landing lights, I just drilled holes and will be using them as is... The red lights I will be using 308bits fixtures from shapeways.
