1:24 Death Proof Nova help needed...

I posted this on the Prop Forum, but they directed me here...

It's almost done, but I still need to make a license plate decal that doesn't pixelate at such a small scale.

Any tips? Thanks in advance.

Can you go into more detail about the orgins of the kit, etc.?
I'd love to add this to my movie car collection!!

Great weathering too!

Nice work! Where'd you get the hood ornament? I have an AMT '72 Nova kit waiting for me to get around to it, and I've been wondering how to do the Rubber Duck.

It used to be a Maisto 1:24 scale Nova SS. I filled in the hood vents with JB Weld, primed and painted. The SS logo was X-acto carved off of the bumpers and the grill was resculpted with Super Sculpey and a needle. The interior was resculpted to remove the molded backseat, ugly molded dash and shifter. The roll cage is 1/8 inch dowel cut and hotglued together. The steering wheel and handbrake is Sculpey and thin cardboard, as was the exposed interior door panel. Rose's Crash Box seat was Sculpey and dowel. The Crash Box divider was cut out of thin plastic and punched with a needle. The rubber ducky hood ornament was ordered off of eBay and after the whole thing was painted with a variety of Folk Art Acrylics and Black Primer, the skull decal was printed onto white decal paper from a JPEG I got here on the board that I shrunk down and cleaned up pixel by pixel on Microsoft Paint.

Google or search eBay for a company called White Fang Industries. It cost about ten bucks with shipping (and for such a tiny thing, it was a tough call) but it just wouldn't be the same without it.

Thanks! Tried Google and eBay searches and came up empty on both. Ah well, the quest continues...

Alright, your using the ACME plate maker correct?
If thats what your using, make up the plate you want and copy and paste the image into paint.
Now, open "Page setup..." from the File menu.
At the bottom right of the window should be a set of options titled "Scaling". Make sure the the green button next to the "Adjust to:" box is checked. Now, change the 100% in that box to 20%.
Select "Ok" and print it.
It'll scale the image down perfectly to fit a 1/24 car and still keep all the clarity.

Yeah I've been using ACME Plate Maker...and all this time, I've been using the "Stretch/Skew" function on Paint. I'll give your method a try and get back to you. Thanks, man!
