Yeah I've been watcing his videos... Thats why I'm so inspired by his work. Totally believable oversized sculptures of human forms.

I've now mounted the upper part onto the armature lower half which will soon become the rest of the body.... Also modified the chin and upper head.

Awesome. Kind of creepy to see a man emerging from the clay like that - it's a much different effect than seeing a bust in progress!

Stunning work Phil!!!

One suggestion...judging by your pic of the full body, the thighs seem to be a bit too long and throw the lower half of the body out of proportion IMHO.

Thanks guys... This baby is gonna take up a lot of silicone for the mold itself... The body will be translucent resin fibreglass but the head will be silicone (this technic comes from Ron Mueck) and the edge where the silicone meets the resin will be the underside of the jawline. I'm getting a brilliant eye designer... Will Witter (the greatest eye technician on the planet) to create these unbelievably realistic eyes... I feel the eyes are so so important for to make this come alive. This is going to be my very first lifelike piece in silicone so I want it to make the best impact possible in my display room.

I want Luke to look like hes sweating, dirty from couple of days in the swamp.... his hair will be wet and unkempt. Yoda will be there alive. So thats my idea for this display... one of the most key moments in Star Wars' history :eek
