Wow, that's looking super! He looks pretty buff though, not sure he was ever that big.

i think its awesome!

alltho i am not sure what the point of a whole body sculpt is, if youre putting clothes on it :D or are you intending of having a naked luke in your house? xD

Still working on the proportions but yeah he has got a good build in Empire.

Thanks... Yeah good point. In the training sequences in Empire Luke has his vest/sleaveless shirt on so the sculpt needs to show a lot of the upper proportions in detail. As for the lower parts - well lets just say I'm challenging myself to actually sculpt a lifesized figure so its a training piece for me in a sense :lol

I've now ordered all the molding materials I'll need for this... can't wait to get this thing finished with Yoda. If anyone can help with the clothing and any other suggestions please give me a shout ;)

see this sculpture being completed.

But Phil, if you need help with the clothing, back pack, paintjob or the display base me and my wife and partner can help you out on this:cool

I have a great idea for the base, and could start working on that in a few weeks.

Heres a comp I did today of the proportions. No to far out... but I need to stoop the neck more and narrow down the shoulders a bit. I don't want this statue to be exactly the same as the key reference image but pretty close... The likeness and feel must be spot on....

This whole thread is pure awesomeness. I have a coupe sculpture questions. First, did you take any pics of the armature? I'm curious to see how you constructed it. Second that must've been a ton of clay, what kind did you use? Thanks!

Body must be a POTF version... but, The head-sculpt is spot on! Impressive texturing.

Hey thanks....

I didn't take any pics of the lower armature but it is made from wood clad with polystyrene.... and yeah it has taken a lot of WED clay to create this so far and its incredibly heavy :)
