ZF1 with Functional Airsoft, Rocket & articulation

Great job Kurt. I can truly say i feel your pain. Looking forward to a "how to paint your ZF" thread.

This was the first time I thought, "I'm Screwed - he really wants ALL the options!"
:lol Well you did offer them, my man, so what choice did I have? I figured I'd only get one shot at an actual ZF-1! :love

I absolutely love this magnificent piece of movie art and engineering! And Kurt didn't even mention some of the coolest features, such as the fact that the scope, top hatch, and dart pods are all activated by concealed levers right behind the grip. Sweeet! :cool

And after seeing all the blood sweat and tears put into not only making it accurate but somehow also making everything actually work, I yet again stand in awe of propmakers like Kurt and the other incredibly skilled members of the RPF. You guys are just amazing! :thumbsup

One of my favourite RPF builds ever....

and of course expensive...but alot cheaper than the Propstore one that only has flamethrower built in.

:eek

Amazing and beautiful work of art :love
Just four words: how many cost it? :rolleyes

Probably too much for me :cry

Thousand bravos! :thumbsup

P.S. : sorry for the influx of smileys lol

Not for sale :cry

But frankly, just the flamethrower version don't make the weight against that the Superkrates's version. :)

Okay, with a single-digit post count to my name I don’t presume to know what is or isn’t impressive around here, but come on! That’s... well that’s incredible is what it is. Pretty sure that gives you legal grounds to deck the inevitable internet "expert" who complains it doesn’t have a functioning net launcher.

Naw, the experts know that to have the net launcher, and be film accurate, you gotta take away the airsoft feature (the net was housed in the barrel of that model).

just how many open versions of this gun were in the film? anyone know?

there are at least 3

Absolutely stunning.

Cannot even imagine the patience and work that has gone into this. Congratulations to the builder and a 'you lucky son of a gun' to the owner!

Can't wait to see video!

Is it good for righties and lefties?

Ok, let me break it down:

It's light;
Not unless you think a 15 pound prop is 'light'

handle's adjustable for easy carrying;
If the handle adjusts, you broke it

good for righties and lefties;
Um, yea, should have asked the client if he was a lefty, because the rocket was designed to be triggered by the left hand - making it good for 'righties' only.

breaks down into four parts;
Breaks down into about 40 parts if you've got the right tools

undetectable by X-ray;
My Ass! It arrived two days late and someone at USPS took the time to unscrew 34 bolts from the case, fire all the ammo out of the clip AND fail to properly latch the forward sliding tube when it was returned into the case. Not cool. Next time I'm sealing it with security tape.

ideal for quick discreet interventions.
The squirrels know and fear this feature

A word on firepower. Titanium recharger; 3000-round clip with bursts of 3 to 300.
Um, how about manual reload without having to remove the magazine and bursts from 3 to 190?

With the replay button, another Zorg invention, it's even easier... One shot... and replay sends every following shot to the same location
works great as long as the first and following shots are aimed at the same location. :)

And to finish the job, all the Zorg oldies but goodies. Rocket launcher...
Nerf foam style rocket fires 35-40 feet on a full charge.

arrow launcher with exploding or poisonous gas heads, very practical...
No. The arrows do not launch or explode/poison, but they do have aluminum shafts, stainless steel tips and will impress your friends.

our famous net launcher...
something for future consideration, but the film gun housed it in the barrel which makes retaining the airsoft function problematic.

the always-efficient flamethrower, my favorite...
Not even a consideration with most of the replica consisting of resin and plastics.

and for the grand finale, the all-new 'Ice-cube System'.
Resin and extreme cold - again, not a good idea.
