ZF1 with Functional Airsoft, Rocket & articulation

Ok, let me break it down:

It's light;
Not unless you think a 15 pound prop is 'light'

handle's adjustable for easy carrying;
If the handle adjusts, you broke it

good for righties and lefties;
Um, yea, should have asked the client if he was a lefty, because the rocket was designed to be triggered by the left hand - making it good for 'righties' only.

breaks down into four parts;
Breaks down into about 40 parts if you've got the right tools

undetectable by X-ray;
My Ass! It arrived two days late and someone at USPS took the time to unscrew 34 bolts from the case, fire all the ammo out of the clip AND fail to properly latch the forward sliding tube when it was returned into the case. Not cool. Next time I'm sealing it with security tape.

ideal for quick discreet interventions.
The squirrels know and fear this feature

A word on firepower. Titanium recharger; 3000-round clip with bursts of 3 to 300.
Um, how about manual reload without having to remove the magazine and bursts from 3 to 190?

With the replay button, another Zorg invention, it's even easier... One shot... and replay sends every following shot to the same location
works great as long as the first and following shots are aimed at the same location. :)

And to finish the job, all the Zorg oldies but goodies. Rocket launcher...
Nerf foam style rocket fires 35-40 feet on a full charge.

arrow launcher with exploding or poisonous gas heads, very practical...
No. The arrows do not launch or explode/poison, but they do have aluminum shafts, stainless steel tips and will impress your friends.

our famous net launcher...
something for future consideration, but the film gun housed it in the barrel which makes retaining the airsoft function problematic.

the always-efficient flamethrower, my favorite...
Not even a consideration with most of the replica consisting of resin and plastics.

and for the grand finale, the all-new 'Ice-cube System'.
Resin and extreme cold - again, not a good idea.

Wait...so it doesn't do all the stuff the real one did? Take my name off the list...no longer interested.

j/k

:lol:lol :lol

Damn fine work! :cheers

owwwww....*droools*, That is pure and simply a work of art! The compact engineering is headache inducing:)

I'd love a pack of remote firework rockets with that thing:D

Awesome job! I'd love to know more about how you did the mechanics. RK said it's levers? Does that mean non-electronic?

Yes, that's correct; it's all done with mechanical linkages and magnets. Kurt originally planned to install servos, but was unable to find any both small enough to fit in the available space and powerful enough to actually lift the assemblies away from the shell.

Naw, the experts know that to have the net launcher, and be film accurate, you gotta take away the airsoft feature (the net was housed in the barrel of that model).

I'm not sure.
anyway, in the scene with the dummy policeman, you can see the machinist for the FX :

In the first plan you can see Luc Besson with an flamethrower for the next scene. :)

Ok I am ready to buy. I just told my 5 and 6 year old they can only eat once a week and they will have to get jobs. So just let me know the price.

Kurt is right . When they show the net leaving the gun the net comes from the barrel and there is another blue nozzle in the barrel. Although it is not blue. That vid you posted just shows how they actually launched the net at the dummy not the part where they show it leave the gun.

Sean McCarthy's professional photos were a great unexpected extra.
Here are a few more, starring Kurt's friends Jeff and Josette.

Wait a minute I thought you posted pics of a working ZF1 with opening hatches..lol Im sure I read that wrong cause of course no one could make that....................................... OMG

That is definitely a work of art - the ZF1 ain't bad either :)

Seriously though... the paintjob is perfect and having everything open up and deploy is... astounding.
