Zeiram & Zeiram 2 - What do we Know?

That's looking great Mike.:thumbsup looks like you may have some painting In your future.

Stopped by the hardware store today & Walmart: got some BBs & some 5-min epoxy in the self-mixing syringes (which I love, but I need more mixing tips!).

Have started epoxying BBs in any hollow places I can find, to add weight. Also slapped some Aves inside the front body for good measure.

I need to pick up more black spray paint & start painting parts.

LOL. Not much to show as of yet. Got a brand new can of spray paint I'll try out tomorrow (it just rained or I'd try it out today).

Filled the hollow areas in the cylinder with Aves. Filled the hollow part of the barrel with epoxy. Filled some hollow spots inside the faux wood grips with epoxy & BBs.

I wish I'd weighed it before I started.

Not that there's an abundance of space to fill. I doubt I'll add even +50% to it's weight. Probably not even 25%. But I'll know it's there :)

Hope the weather works out for you today my friend. can't wait to see some paint on you build. and happy fourth of July..

Okay, I've got my first coat of black on. It has revealed some problems. One of which is my sloppy application of paint. The other is that the Polished White Strong and Flexible surface is not perfectly smooth; it's slightly porous. Both of which mean, in short, a lot of sanding in my future.

Got some sanding in. I'm going to try to dye my parts black, before I reapply a coat of black paint. Let's see how well this'll take the dye, if at all. I still have one greeblie on the side I need to make & print.

Seems like a hassle to have to dye and paint. good coat of automotive primer wouldn't do the trick?

I consider getting a smooth and even coat of paint to be a bigger hassle than plopping my parts into a pot of dye. I was never very good at painting, and I avoid it if I can.

Wow this is amazing! Just tripped on this conversation and pictures through google, and I grew up with the Zeiram series, decided about two weeks ago I would make a cosplay of Zeiram myself, so this is pretty cool. I might decide to make some of these props later. The pictures are absolutely amazing, would love to have something like that. Might post some progress on the cosplay.

Awesome to see the collection. Found a Zeiram weapon on Yahoo Auction Japan that states it's real prop from the movie. He wants about $4000.

That guy's being trying to sell that gun for about a year. It's in very bad shape for the price he's asking, or I definitely would have picked it up, it's a major piece from the first movie.

I wish there was some better pictures of it. But even a distance I think we can identify some of the component parts - The shoulder stock looks like a Bike wheel Splash guard - the three rails on the front look like a pinball ramp and the grips looks like two inverted grips glued together. I loved the movies and the series.
