ANyway, here's the barrel inserts. Bit messy, but it'll hardly be seen anyway; I'll hand paint it later as I can't be bothered to mask off all those clear areas.

I'll be hiding those nasty gaps with styrene; later on, once the second part of this section is attached, I'll bondo it all together so that those uneven spots will get evened out.
OKAY SO, here are the red shell LEDs partially wired up. The real problem is that I want the shell to be detachable, y'know, just in case I ever need to pack up the thing into smaller parts. But the question is,
how can I wire these LEDs up in such a way that they can be detached later if need be? Wiring them up inside the barrel is out of the question because that will be completely sealed up as one piece. Hmm..
