I've been working on assembling parts for my fuselage and came up with a problem. The tank headlights used on the Nelson piece here don't match what the actual part looks like.

On the left, I used the Hasegawa Sherman headlights on them because they have more accurate detail. But the headlights are too big sitting on the gray Nelson piece.

The parts on the right are from the Hasegawa Lee (which also says Minicraft on the instructions), which is supposed to be the donor for the headlights, but it's got the wrong details. The size is better, but they look way too simple to be the correct parts.

Can anyone help clear this up? Is there another Hasegawa Lee that has the correct headlights?

Never trust any kit list !

Yes ! If we had a 10 commandments of Studio Scale Building, this should be number one, Imho, Of course we might need 100 commandments for this hobby, LOL .

I just realized this red area is trimmed from the cockpit firewall as well. It's just upside down compared to the orientation used on the firewall. And this Airfix Junkers part is obscured back here too. But I'm unable to tell what is beneath it at the moment.

It's the Morgan pan, and part of the Monogram Panzer section cut from the firewall.

Not sure of the scale but this one looks kind of like part 32 from the Morser Karl. Not sure which tree it is but it's the one with the railroad tracks.

Thanks to Scott's images of his Y I was able to see where 2 new pieces were from since they looked like Fujimi pieces. I wasn't able to see the one piece though in the scan I'm mapping from the MoM though.



And I have no clue what the orange piece on the left side is. I see people's builds and that it is a blue kit piece but I've not seen a type of kit with that color pieces. Any hints?

The large square piece that the fujimi elefant cupola and a couple of other parts sit on is part of the engine deck from a bandai/fuman Tiger I. I crudely colored it orange over your pic. It's the square in the upper left of the image. It's cut to conform to that Yamato bridge part.

Thank you so much that piece has been bothering me for a while now!

Is this correct? I labelled a second piece located on the Tiger I panel as being from the Shiden as well. It seems spot on to me.

I never noticed that part on the Tiger might be from the Shiden. Nice find if so. I'll go through my kit tonight to see.
