Not me.. I PMed many days ago with no response. Hope he's not lost on the wrong site.

has anyone heard from this guy

Check out the thread in the Junkyard. A few of us had to raise Paypal claims against non delivery of paid items. No contact at all and no receipt of goods. Paypal refunded money. Until this issue has been addressed in full, then don't hand over any money.

And this is a good six weeks before the RPF site fiasco took place, so that issue cannot be used as a reason for no correspondence or postage of wands. This goes back to mid November plus.

Guys, gals, do not doubt dnc5002!
I bought wands from him just 2 weeks ago and I got them promptly and they are fantastic!! I got Umbridge's, The Elder wand, Viktor Krum's and McGonagall's. I'll check with him to make sure he knows about the site going down.

It's not dnc5002 we are talking about but HeirOfOlivander.

Yes, I am still here, but I haven't heard anything from HeirofOlivander in quite a while either.

If I recall correctly, he has at least a bit of a history for disappearing for a while at a time. I bet he'll be back. But then, I don't have money invested.

First and foremost I apologize for the lack of communication, I was not aware of the rpf switching over. I did reply to pm's but you probably didn't get them. My guess is that it happened the same time I acquired a virus around Christams. I do not take peoples money without delivering a product and I enjoy doing this and want to continue to do so, I have started an etsy store to try and funnel all of the requests down to one area to keep it organized. I get requests from google, flikr, ebay, the rpf, and a few others and I am trying to keep it all organized. If you sent me money over the holidays, and even if you were given a refund though paypal, you will still recieve your wand , just please pay me when you get it.

Well, its nice to know that the rpf switched, the holiday season was very chaotic for me. You can't make this stuff up, and I 'm not feeding a bunch of excuses to you, because while all of this is going on I am still making wands because it(woodturning) is sort of like therapy. My one escape, doing something that I enjoy. Having said that , first my wife has been in and out of the hospital since November, and three doctors all say something different is wrong but they aren't sure what is wrong, very frustrating!! Secondly, even though I have a antivirus software, spyware, etc. arround Christams time I had acquired something(virus?) that disabled my cdrom drives and then my mouse and keyboard and I had to have that fixed, pretty frustrating. Third, the post office misinformed me about shipping what to where using "their" boxes, lesson learned I will use my own, but there was a batch of wands that went out, and some were returned to me because of wording on the box (insufficient postage), even though they told me I could do it in the first place. Fourth, the Ohio BMV randomly selects drivers to prove that they insurance, well that the postal service must have lost the letter I'm not sure what happened to the notice, it was arround Christmas as well. I just got a letter stating my drivers license was suspended until 2015!!!! Because I didn't show proof, and I had no idea I even got the notice in the first place. So I had to rectify that as well. On top of that I was not aware that the rpf was hacked into until a kind person sent me a message through flickr. Thank you onOr74. Once again I appologize and I will be replying to pms sent.

I have felt like a failure because of everyhting that has happened and not being able to handel it all together. I have thought about quiting this but I enjoy it, so I will keep fighting to do so. Susan Lyon is an exceptional artist and I enjoy reading her blog, she has posted up several quotes of inspiration, especially about failure. Here is a little from that:
Failure is never final! The only time you can't afford to fail is the very last time you try.
Failure doesn't mean I'm a failure, it just means I haven't yet succeeded.
Failure doesn't mean I have accomplished nothing, it just means I've learned something.
Failure doesn't mean I don't have what it takes, it just means I have to do things differently next time.
Failure doesn't mean I should give up, it just means I must try harder.
Failure doesn't mean I'm wrong, it just means I need to find a better way.

Now that I am on the correct forum, pm's will be answered, problems addressed, and keep moving forward.
I appreciate all of you who have shown your support, and I hope you enjoy your wands as much as I had making them. I will keep posting up new pics of wands and keep moving forward.

I have been working on a prototype for a "lite up" wand but the only one I can fit everything into is Harry's wand, but I will keep working on that and hopefully post up my results if I can get it to work out correctly. I have also been looking into acquiring a licensing agreement with WB to make wands with an official website but that has been moving very, very slow so we will just have wait and see.

Nice wands Hazrelrah and DCN5002.
Great pics of the wormtail wand DCN5002, I have finally finished mine, it is by far the hardest wand to do, more than Hermiones, because it has to be completely shaped by hand. I can understand why maybe Noble opted not to do it. Getting a metal wire to line up though that might be difficult.
I am now working on getting Cornelius Fudges wand correct.
I lost a lot of pics over Chrismas and had to reshoot and edit them. I will post them up soon.

When I sent it, I wasn't positive I was e-mailing the right person. So, you're welcome, Jeff. Don't be a stranger! :)

I'll be PMing you again soon to start my wand collection...

Here are the first few I have been working on..
Elder Wand made from oak 15" in length, made after what the actual prop in the film is made from, check out "Page To Screen" in the prop section for more info.
Xenophilius Lovegood wand made from oak and is 15" in length. Very comfortable to hold.
Arthur Weasley made from figured/spalted oak and is 15" in length.
Molly Weasley made from figured/spalted oak and is 14" in length.
Percy Weasley made from oak and is 15" in length.

And some more...
James Potter wand made from Mahogany 14" in length.
Deatheater "Thorn" wand made form walnut and is 14" in length.
Kingsley Shacklebolt's wand is 14" in length made form east indian rosewood. The design of this one is bloody brilliant because I didn't really get it until I was finished, but it just fits in your hand extremely well, and is comfortable to hold. It's a bird bending over in half. Great design!

I have alot more to post, as soon as I edit photos and upload them.
Fleur Delacour, Wormtail, Deatheater "Skull" and "Stallion" wand, Prof. Trelawney, Mad Eye's 2nd wand, Narcissa Malfoy, and Hermiones which matches exactly the Noble wand except its made from verawood/lignum vitae.
This is a prototype of Lockharts wand, 15" in length, it was carved in a softer wood not to waste the more exspensive canary wood that I will use to make the final. I need better reference, I know Ben had a good pic of it, I will see if he could send it to me again. This is a very skinny wand but it has good balance. I think it will look nice once it is finished properly.

To see more pics of the newer wands go to flickr.

So sorry to hear about your troubles, HeirofOlivander, I hope things start turning around for you really soon! I know what it's like to feel overwhelmed and feel like a failure, but if it helps at all, you should know how much this little online community appreciates that you started this thread at all and that you take the time to share your talent with us. I know that personally every time I make a wand, I'm constantly holding it up to the Heir's yardstick and eagerly wondering how much better your version will look. Wandmaking is definitely a unique hobby that we share here, but your work has always pushed us other wandmakers to a higher level. Through your skills, you’ve managed to maintain the magic in your wands and they bring out the same childlike sense of wonder that made many of us seek out TheRPF in the first place. You bring enjoyment to everyone in this forum, and for that, I say thank you! So hang in there and I hope you keep carving because “happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light!”

I received my wands a couple of days ago. All I can say is AWESOME!
I also waited for some time to receive them, but, I will say, without any hesitation, they are well worth the wait. Everything about them is absolutely perfect. As I waited for them, I had high hopes for them. They didn't disappoint when they arrived. The look and feel of all of the wands I received is better than I could have ever imagined. Words can't describe these!!!

If you all hang in there, I am sure HoO will come through for you all, and you will all be more than happy when they arrive.

And HeirOfOlivander, keep on keeping on. I hope you work out all of your troubles. And... I hope to purchase more of your wands soon.
