So, the book descriptions are all over the place but the wands tend to be able to be “pocketed” and are a little less than a foot.
We all have our own movies playing in our heads when we read things, and I’m creating some pieces of mine.
I’m experimenting with this tiny metal lathe and started wood turning on it so I’ve been using scraps of Ash to see what I can do. This was the tip of a pool cue
I accidentally started a wand, specifically what I always pictured to be wielded by Mad-Eye Moody. Based on this chapter artwork from Marie GrandPre
And my brain sorta filled in the rest. It had to be a little tactical, being an Auror, with physical things to identify parts of the wand without looking at them. Might be useful in a firefight!
I hit it with a blowtorch for a used and vintage look and stained it in colonial maple. I plan on waxing it when it cures
