Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Ok, I have looked everywhere and can't find an XS Zimmerli tank anywhere... not even for $179, not that I would spend that much. :/ I did find this which is even a better deal than the last one I posted. $39, no tax (for me), and free shipping. Still only a size small is available. I am not sure if this is the old style but since it is on closeout I am guessing that it is.

http://www.barneyswarehouse.com/zim...1E6ihNal5pyXh_qXAO1AmFkynte8wzeyOlhoCqQXw_wcB

So I got another one just to see if maybe there was some kind of size mix up... the tag on the shirt does not have a size listed. I will let you all know when this on comes in.

Hey Forum!

UPDATE: FIRST COSPLAY WIG SHOWING AND FITTING-

The Screen Accurate , custom-human hair "Berserker" wig from HERO HAIR.com- WIP- Album_01- FIRST FULL FITTING.

Teaser shots from my first full-head fitting of the nearly completed, screen accurate "Berserker" wig ( X-1 Canadian Bar, getting out of the truck and snow battle scenes) from HERO HAIR.

These images are from my first fitting of the entire piece.

DETAILS:

The screen-matched, final, base hair-line is built & fronted, and being readied for the addition of the signature bangs, spit curls and fine-hair cowlicks. It (the lace front) slides back and forth here a bit as the lace itself has not yet been cut (which is why you see a line just across my brow) and is not glued to the wig cap I'm wearing beneath, so forgive that while these amazing artists behind me work, replacing my receded widow's peak with a lush, fully formed Jackman-esque brow.

The final, full-scalp hair ventilation is now complete, save for a couple of sections around the back and more importantly, the sides around the ears leading into the side burn area and then blended into my existing facial hair. For now, that section of hair (the side ear section which completes the "block-cut" of this wig, and gives it its signature silhouette) is tucked behind each of my ears until the next, final stage of the build.

The stylist, ( and the renowned Hair Supervisor formerly of SNL, here in NYC) Kelly Reed, has arrived and is working with Erin ( pictured here behind me-Hair Supervisor for Tony Award nominated Casa Valentina on Broadway, as well as special live fight FX Make-Up co-creator and supervisor on Rocky Broadway, and who is currently working as a key hair artist on "The Mysteries of Laura") on addressing what will be done for the next step- cutting, finalizing follicle-placement at the micro-level across the entire front/body, and any additional needs to the piece.

Then, FINAL SCREEN-STYLING, fitting and setting.

This will include adding that "greaser" product Wolvie runs through his hair to give it that textured shine and luster, as well as a rock steady, while still flexible retaining & setting solution.

2 weeks to Comic Con...FULL eveal coming soon!

The wig will be completely finished in a few days for photo shoot and then ComicCon NYC. Hope you guys dig it.

Travis

Last one. More to follow in the next update after the wig is finished.

That wig is unbelievable!!! So much easier then growing and trying to style it! Are they going to sell them?

The figure should be the closest we can get to all angles covered......Hot Toy's accuracy is great, so we'd have 1/6th scale versions to copy...Easy views.....I'd love to see a 70's version as well from Hot Toys...But we'll see......It says "5人" (five people) but the meaning is unclear....5 characters they copied? Or a special edition doll awarded to 5 people only? Hard to tell....

Solider...

Thanks man. Yeah, and it's not even finished in these pics. It's being final built and styled to match the "getting out of the truck/discovering Anna Paquin in the trailer" sequence before the Snow Battle (my personal favorite look).

To answer your question as best I can, each piece (wig, facial hair- yes they do the chops/ beards, side-burns, etc. as well) is custom made, per client request, and specifically TO that client's head and physical dimensions (there is an exacting head wrapping and measurement process for this that is doable no matter where you are, and I've enclosed below another image of another of Hero Hair's clients, who lives in Brisbane Australia, and who just got his yesterday & snapped off a few "Cosplay in progress" shots with it on) so it's pretty efficient.

All are extremely high quality (the team that makes them consists of Broadway, film and television Hair Supervisors and Artists, with a collective 100 years experience in the craft, and with credits from SNL to Rocky Broadway and even the original Bozo the Clown and the current "Mysteries of Laura") with a range of build options according to and dependent on style, and client's needs and budget.

The wig being made for me is their absolute top of the line. It's fully ventilated human hair. Which means it's done strand by strand and in small groupings of strands of natural human hair, where even the cowlicks, and direction of individual hair growth is planned and coordinated, for the eventual styling (hence the "Berserker's" signature silhouette looking as authentic as it does here; even when not fully completed) and use by the owner, their favorite scenes, etc.

It's just a monumental undertaking and you wouldn't believe what sort of expertise goes into it.

And it's really just amazing. Yeah. I'm totally blown away and I'm watching it go down in front of me. I wanted a screen accurate hair piece. To me, it completes the character. So I was lucky to get in on the ground floor with Erin and her team to make this a reality for me, and knock it out of the park pretty much immediately. The build took 80 plus hours.

So yes, these are for sale. But they are commissioned, individual to the client pieces. You couldn't wear my wig, as I couldn't wear one built specifically for you, and so on.

They're soft launching October 11th. Erin is very good about correspondence and communication. Feel free to send her (them) an email. It's very casual and they are very approachable.

X-1 Logan Belt Build:

So here's a collage I did of my digital layout of the belt and the progress as of today.

Which was basically acquiring the appropriate starting-leather strap (pictured at small arrow-yes, that smooth strap is the same leather as that of the then quickly test-distressed in my hand, in foreground) to place the period grommets and rivets on for an original scale-match.
Which, thankfully, was dead on.

I was very lucky to find this leather source and that it's (the belt starting-strap) as workable as it is and with the control I'm able to immediately apply to the age factor. Pictured here on this small snip cut from my belt body, as the attendant was punching the thread holes, is the extreme. This application of wear, blistering of the finish/cracks/etc.

And to that, I've already distressed the entire strap, using a subtle stippling variation across the body going from light wear to what you see in the enclosed collage and accompanying close ups.

All in all it's turning out great and I have high hopes that it will be a decent first run at the build.
Thanks for looking;). Wish me luck.

Fortunate to be able to grab some progress back and side/ 3/4 shots of my "Berserker" Part-1 wig, currently being final screen-styled against the "getting out of the truck/discovering the Power-Absorber in the trailer-'Get out!" scene(s).

I won't see the front reveal, in full, until it's finished being styled later today.

The tousled front is being worked on today. The back and sides are nearly finished and the "greaser" goop will be applied tonight at some point for a photo shoot.
My Part 1 cosplay is nearly there with 10 days to go until ComicCon NYC!!!

I just wanted to chime in cause I had Hero Hair make me a custom set of chops. I am always doing different costumes and it takes a while for my beard to grow out so a facial hair appliance is best for me. Before I had these chops custom made, I started out by taking a theatrical Abe Lincoln beard and cutting it in half at the chin. Then I shaped and styled it to fit my face as best I could. It did ok but the quality of the piece wasn't all that great. The lace on it was a heavier lace to stand up to some actor abuse and therefore it was fairly visible. Also, the hairs were tied in groups which gave it a similar look to doll plugs, lol.

Anyway, I just did my first cosplay as Wolverine with my new Hero Hair chops at Alamo City Comic Con and I have to say... these things are great! The lace is a finer, thinner lace and so it all but disappears after applied to the skin. The hairs were individually tied near the hairline and in much smaller groups (but more of them) in the underlining layers. The shape of the chops were customized to fit my face and they fit like a glove. Oh, another bonus is that the lace seems to give a little more and so it stretches slightly more with my face so if I eat something then it doesn't fall off my face. For those that haven't tried to wear a facial hair appliance, eating really moves and stretches your mouth area and this can cause problems for adhesion. So we are talking about a 14 hour day of costuming and I only reapplied my Telesis 5 Matte Lace Adhesive once (after the initial application) in the middle of the day. It is very convincing especially in photos but even in person as well... I had a lot of people fooled... If they hadn't seen me as Tony Stark the day before they wouldn't have known. As it was, they were very confused, asking me if I was the same guy from the day before, lol. Here are some close up images (you guys know in order to see the full resolution you have to open the image in a new tab, right?):

LOL, thanks. My hair was a little shorter than I like and so I couldn't really do much with it but it looked ok IMO. I have really fine hair and so it is hard to do anything with it anyway.

Wait, Hero Hair? How can I get some of these, because I have to say goodbye to my chops if I'm to stay at my job and need a solution lol

Here's their contact info for you @comonbub. Erin Lunsford (owner) at Hero Hair is designing HairSpray in November, and is Santa's chief stylist at the Radio City Music Hall X-Mas Spectacular starting around the same time, also currently working on "The Mysteries of Laura".

But Hero Hair's soft launch is October 11th and she IS currently booking clients for the first run of custom wigs, and facial hair is definitely something she specializes in. Send her an email and let her know what you are interested in, and she'll respond asap. She's traveling to Michigan for the next week to design Cabaret, so it may be a few days till she gets back before Comic Con in NY until she can reply.

So this is happening right now....

Hero Hair is screen styling and finishing my "Berserker" Part-1, fully ventilated, human hair wig.

Pictured here is the Canadian Bar- "Tossle-Styled, multiple soft-arced spit-curl front.

The HERO version that will be styled permanently in the next little while, as to my specifications, is the Canadian Rockies- "Shark-Toothed, hard-angled, dual spit-curl front, as seen in the "getting out of the truck/ discovering the Power Absorber in the trailer, 'Get out!" scene(s), just before the snow battle.

The side burn starting extensions, ( seen here draping down & cradling the wig-block) which will meld into my own grown out facial hair, will be burnished and micro curled, as Erin also does with her custom facial chops, to finish the screen accurate "boxed" siloutte.

Pics of the final styled and set wig coming shortly on the RPF forum "Wolverine: all day, baby" thread, and on the RPF Facebook feed.

Thanks for looking! 9 days to Comic Con NYC!!!

Wow, I may have too. My gf even expresses sadness of my chops being gone so this might suffice for desperation LOL

Entirely with that.. Women like the beard.. Until they have to kiss you a lot.. And then it becomes annoying.. But look wise? It works...
Beards rock.
