Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

This thread is such a great resource.

if anyone has a jacket (I'm a 40R, medium sized guy) and/ or set of claws they want to get rid of, let me know. Finally taking that Wolverine plunge!

Still no other close ups on the suit? Someone must have 'em.

Given for Charitybuzz auction. Authenticity from Hutch Parker... These Hugh Jackman & Bryan Singer signed Wolverine Claws of X-Men: Days of Future Past are not screen used, but were on set if needed.

The X symbols on the clamp plates & signatures are fantastic!

Hey Forum!

UPDATE: FIRST COSPLAY WIG SHOWING AND FITTING-

The Screen Accurate , custom-human hair "Berserker" wig from HERO HAIR.com- WIP- Album_01- FIRST FULL FITTING.

Teaser shots from my first full-head fitting of the nearly completed, screen accurate "Berserker" wig ( X-1 Canadian Bar, getting out of the truck and snow battle scenes) from HERO HAIR.

These images are from my first fitting of the entire piece.

DETAILS:

The screen-matched, final, base hair-line is built & fronted, and being readied for the addition of the signature bangs, spit curls and fine-hair cowlicks. It (the lace front) slides back and forth here a bit as the lace itself has not yet been cut (which is why you see a line just across my brow) and is not glued to the wig cap I'm wearing beneath, so forgive that while these amazing artists behind me work, replacing my receded widow's peak with a lush, fully formed Jackman-esque brow.

The final, full-scalp hair ventilation is now complete, save for a couple of sections around the back and more importantly, the sides around the ears leading into the side burn area and then blended into my existing facial hair. For now, that section of hair (the side ear section which completes the "block-cut" of this wig, and gives it its signature silhouette) is tucked behind each of my ears until the next, final stage of the build.

The stylist, ( and the renowned Hair Supervisor formerly of SNL, here in NYC) Kelly Reed, has arrived and is working with Erin ( pictured here behind me-Hair Supervisor for Tony Award nominated Casa Valentina on Broadway, as well as special live fight FX Make-Up co-creator and supervisor on Rocky Broadway, and who is currently working as a key hair artist on "The Mysteries of Laura") on addressing what will be done for the next step- cutting, finalizing follicle-placement at the micro-level across the entire front/body, and any additional needs to the piece.

Then, FINAL SCREEN-STYLING, fitting and setting.

This will include adding that "greaser" product Wolvie runs through his hair to give it that textured shine and luster, as well as a rock steady, while still flexible retaining & setting solution.

2 weeks to Comic Con...FULL eveal coming soon!

The wig will be completely finished in a few days for photo shoot and then ComicCon NYC. Hope you guys dig it.

Travis

My 14 yr old Open Road jacekt in size small, my very first attempt at a Wolverine jacket back in 2000.
If my cousin isn't intersted, I might try here. But it has no actual liner just the quilted zip-in liner

Hey forum.

X-1 LOGAN BELT- build/ possible run.

So, while I've, as of yesterday, ordered the standby, almost good enough, of-the-shelf-belt (I had ordered standby items on nearly ever part of my X-1 Logan build just in case something...anything didn't quite work out. Thankfully nothing didn't) for Logan's Canadian threads, I have also decided, with the painstaking process of the Buckle painting now under way (pics soon) to completely scratch build the authentic grommeted and studded belt.

This is the one area I have some actual expertise in (leather work) so I'm confident it will be worth the effort. I've located the perfect Grommets and studs of the time period and so far they are a dead on match in size and detail. I have two versions I'm looking at and making a final choice on and it's a matter of inner beveling and making sure I have the correct model. The studs/rivets are pretty standard.

I'll have it ready hopefully inside of a week and will post pics of it when finished.

If it works out as well as I'm hoping, I'll consider a run in the project area.

Here's the belt with some low res screens and a very quick 1st general mock-up I did to get going (which has since been slightly altered-but not worth discussing at this stage.)

NOTE- I'm well aware the Grommets aren't brass yellow. I chose that color combination here, in the digital mock-up, in order to have some contrast to my scale visually. It's an animator's thing. They ( the digital versions here) are also quite basic. Used only for placement.

As always, wish me luck.

Ok guys, I got my Zimmerli in and I gotta say I was expecting it to be a lot smaller. I am 5'5" and have about a 39" chest. This is a small and I would say it is big on me. I am going to have to look into shrinking it. Alternatively, I am in the process of bulking up but I don't know how long it would take me to get to the right size to give this shirt the right stretch. May get another one and shrink this one. Take a look. I left the shirt untucked to show the hem. As you can tell by the item number in the 2nd image it is the original.

Also, here is a progress shot from a few months ago. I need to find a good picture of me when I started before I dropped 15 lbs. After I leaned out I started to work out and gained back about 10 lbs of muscle so far. I have been in a maintenance cycle for a few months though since I have been so busy with props so I haven't made much progress since then.

Your tank pic didn't go through but your progress one did btw. VERY Nice on the progress. About the tank, keep in mind that these don't "shrink". I put mine in a pillowcase and put it in a dryer on delicate cycle/high heat and it shrunk but it stretched right back out to it's normal size after about 1 day's use.

Seems Wolvie had some issues with other peeps this weekend. I was at the Edmonton Alberta Comic Con this weekend and had some fun. I thought you guys might enjoy it.

Thanks. It is hard work for sure. The time factor is the worst part for me. I am too busy for my own good. ;) That sucks about the shirt not being able to shrink. :/ It seems like they run a little big or they are intended to fit looser than in the movie. For anyone else looking to get one, I would recommend going down two sizes from the Zimmerli chart in order to get the right fit. Now I have to look for an XS. I might keep this one for when I get bigger or I might consider offering it to someone here. Anyone got a 40-42" chest?

For what it's worth....It looks like Hot Toys will be bringing out a Days Of Future Past Wolverine figure sometime in the future..With the blue and yellow undershirt....What that might mean is that we can see the design far clearer, and from different angles than we've been able to so far....I couldn't see if the armour over the top is removable, or glued to the shirt, but I suspect it's removable, which might mean we have the design in 1/6th scale at the very least...

That said..Could be a while to wait....

Damn Dude...well DONE!

Thank you. The wig looks great BTW!

The vest is definitely removable as we have seen in the B-roll videos , although, I think the shoulder and arm parts are fixed to the shirt. They are cast with a flexible material... some kind of rubber or flexible casting foam most likely. I was hoping there would be more future scenes than what there were. We really didn't see much of Wolverine's future suit at all so the demand for doing that costume is not going to be as high which means there is less motivation for me to sculpt, mold, and cast those parts.
