Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Would tossing it on the dryer a few times make the fabric puffy and more thick? Or using fabric softener that'll puff it up?

Japan doesn't sell dryers....So I've not dried that, but I suspect there'd be no change.....The softener I use certainly does nothing to it really..Except making it soft...But Egyptian cotton is pretty good for that anyway.....I strongly suspect that it was just dirtied enough to cover, and then used as is....You can see his chest hair through it in some shots, same as mine...Just..I tend to stand in front of brighter lights when I see it (or daylight), and in most of the scenes he wears his? He's less exposed...Perhaps? Film has a tendency to hide a lot of the "normal sheen" we see in reality...Or change it enough to convince us it's something else....
I'd recommend using it as much as you can, sweating in it, and cleaning, and repeating a lot....That seems to be doing the job for me...

(Although having seen the ones Solider posted, I DO also rather like those...Same design, and thicker looking....I like the square variation too....Might have to find a place that sells those online and see about saving for them....)

They may be, "may" be higher durability versions specifically for the films, but even then we have to settle with what we found (which may be less expensive anyways lol)

stuntman posted this on F.J in their tank top thread

Hey guys

"I recently found out in the past few months that the tanks used had a additional layer of thin cloth sewn on the inside. So that might explain why we can't see thru the tanks. And it prob to hide stunt pads. Personally myself I believe he wore a medium or large. I think Hugh may have been mistaken. I seriously can't see Hugh being a person is wearing tank tops around like that in real life. But I do know the different size shirts are used for stunt scenes to hide pads.Sometimes the costume department even tailors tshirts to make them look the same in size."

also found this on same thread http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=pl ... HgiW7XJAo#

Cool stuff.. Stunt knows what he's talking about.. Although I would like to see just what they used and how the sewed it in.. I wouldn't put any thing on the stunt pads.. I suspect the vest is too light, even with the support, to carry any extra weight there? But I don't doubt that he's right.. And if so, I'd like to see where they sewed the second layer!
That said, I reckon still, that Solider's option is still the best I've seen outside of Zimmerli.. I am a fan..
Cool video too.. Well found!

Here's me in my Zimmerli. It's a size large. They do stretch and are really comfortable, almost like a second skin. wolverine z.jpg

I just ordered the Zimmerli Men's Richelieu Tankfrom this site:

http://www.derailed.com/zimmerli-richelieu-tank-top-ribbed-cotton-for-men~p~6807t/

Coupon code gets you another 30% off: DAV1SEPT4

I just got mine including tax and shipping for just over $50!

They only have the size small though... which according to the size charts I actually need a medium but thought that a small would work ok for $50. HaHa

The picture on the site shows the curtain hem like on the original according to Wolverony's description. We will see what I get. I don't really care though... as long as it has the variegated ribbed pattern. That is the most important part to me and the biggest detail that makes the shirt so unique.

Note: Usin' Drier Ruins A Zimmerli Garment. BLOCK Dry Only Recommended. VELCRO Is Your Worst Enemy!

"Richelieu Rib:It is best not to tumble dry these as it can cause the cotton, silk and/or lace to snag. Block to dry - see below. "
Fine Garment Care Instructions

A size small Zimmerli is definitely super tight with a 42" chest & 32" waist.... skin tight, neck line higher & closer together, shorter length so harder to keep tucked in pants.

Great score Mike. Yes, saw that site as well. Small's all they have other than a waiting list for anything bigger. Let us know!

The outfit, especially the buckle, is amazing dude.

Thanks Wolverony! Got some plexiglass today. Startin on the claws soon. Also having a leather place by me in NJ to custom make the belt for 50 bucks. Cant wait to put everything together. Your jacket is amazing btw. Im in the market for an X2. I don't think Heron is still in business though.

Be careful with the plexiglass. It is not that easy to cut and can snap if you bend it. Best to cut using a scroll saw with a super fine tooth blade.

Thanks Mike! Will do. I'd love a pair of yours but unfortunately don't have enough cash at the moment. I'm only using plexi cuz I don't have any idea how to make molds and don't know what else to use.

Cool, maybe someday. I would love to send it sent to you. If you can get your hands on poly carbonate it would probably be a better material. It is a lot less fragile and the Plexiglas but it does cost more and there are some other caveats with that material but for your purposes I think that would be pretty good.

I was looking for it but all lowes or home depot had was plexi. I bought enough to have some screw up room so we'll see how it works out. how long would it take if i just gave you a credit card?

I have a UD replicas X2 suit on it's way!!!!! the seller might be able to get a few more. He said he would let me know if and when. Once I get it I will post pics. It's size Large only, I know I an going to have to have it altered, but to have the suit, I'd do anything lol. Now anyone want my first X2 suit?!?!?!!? It's up for grabs.
