Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Well....It's arrived...So, here ya'll go...

The collar's not quite settled in after the boxtrip...But it'll be fine by tomorrow I reckon...

Sorry for the load out on photos....It's amazing though..The leather is soft, about as heavy as my X0 perhaps, and the pockets this time go down the side, not across the stomach, so there's less "interference" as it were there....The size is lovely for me.. I'm a 46 chest, but this is a 44....As were my last two from Dan....

Highly impressed...Now I need a 70's throwback shirt to go with it, something in Peacock feather.....

Warm regards to all!

I'm gonna get some screen grabs but I think the pocket zippers may open from bottom to top like the origins one. Just a guess because I saw the zipper on the bottom and there wasn't any signs of the pocket being open.I like the jacket though, I need to get one myself without that collar.

I was looking at this one and would agree, the pockets may well run the other way round? (Might mean the same people as Origins made the jacket for the team this time?) But it's harder to tell with this pocket design, as the pockets themselves go to the side, not the front, so they get pulled flatter than ones from the last few movies (meaning the pockets don't open when I have the zipper undone.....)..However, I would say it's unlikely that the zipper was always open, and the zipper position does seem to be down, so yeah, I can see what you mean...I suspect so as well.....

I rather like the collar actually....It adds to the whole wide shoulder/thin waist look of the jacket and the style, and I can see why that was popular in the 70's.....It's not a look I've thought would be cool...But on a body that trains it does help widen the effect far more, and I was rather impressed by that...From the back too, the width of the wearer is the focus, and this time, with all the zippers and seam lines, that really does seem to be the effect they wanted.....Exaggerate Wolverine's natural shape.....It works very well...

I've not seen it, so can't be sure, but I would suspect a smaller collar would let that effect down somewhat.....However, it's a personal taste thing really...I'd be interested in seeing what you choose to run with....If you do.

Still lookin' to see who's willing to do one with the standard Wolvie Mandarin collar.

Oh...and those are functional pockets too? Photos of them open and shut with stuff in it?

Fifth chamber that jacket looks fantastic in just waiting on different sizes being availible
am very impressed :)

Yeah..The one benefit I get by being the same size as Dan is that he gets the tester sets done for himself and they all fit me fine too when he does a limited run, like this one...I'd say the jacket is one of the best though...I love the design...And the simplicity too....

I'll send Dan a message about the zippers, as I do think those are the other way around, but I don't mind the top-down opening...Makes storage safer for me....

You're one lucky duck...

And for practicality sake, it's better that it closes at the top anyways. Screw screen accuracy when it come to closing zippers at the bottom. :p

Hahah...I think the "U" on your keyboard is too close to the "I".... :D

And yeah, while I don't mind the Origins jacket having that (makes more sense for the tassels to be at the bottom), I don't like the design much...Each time I open them, everything falls out...Usually my iPod...So I can deal with it...But I sent an email to Dan just letting him know that I think they were the other way round for the film, and he might want to run with that design if he makes these "standard" in his shop...

This scene was disappointing and they screwed up on one little part....As soon as the sentinel lands, his claws come out, it then switches to another shot like in between the sentinel's legs to where you can see Wolvie cross his arms and whips the claws out again. I don't know how the movie editors missed that error but it just kills it for me.

That kills it for you?

Movies make editing mistakes like that all the time, pretty much every movie has at least one scene where they screw up something along those lines.

It really doesn't bother me. If you notice there is a lot of scenes in The Wolverine were we don't see him retract the claws or hear the sound effect especially near the beginning. So the scene in DOFP is fair enough for me at least the bone claws didn't break.

That's what I mean, little goofs like that aren't uncommon in movies at all. I think you'd be hard pressed to find ANY movie out there that doesn't have them.

The X-Men movies are full of them.
From IMDB just a couple.

In X1:
"When Cyclops blows open the door in the Statue of Liberty, you can see that he is not wearing gloves. In the next shot, with his hand still on his visor, he is wearing gloves. In the next shot when he sees Jean in peril, his gloves are off again."

"When Wolverine accidentally stabs Rogue upon waking up from a nightmare, his claws come out from the tops of his hands, the way they do in the comic series. In all other scenes, however, the claws appear from between the fingers."

"When Wolverine swings around the spike on the crown of the statue with his claws, he lands with his right hand held forward, claws unsheathed. In the next shot, his left hand is held forward just before he leaps."

"When Wolverine says to Sabretooth "I'm not finished with you yet", he points with his middle claw, but in the next shot, he's pointing with all three."

And that's only a couple of them, from X1 alone, the whole series is full of them.

I need help. I'm going to order one of these two X2 suits. I like the orange better then the yellow. I keep looking at the pics of the X2 suit and the pin striping looks more orange then yellow to me.

The piping is definitely yellow. As the original screen used hero suit was used in recreating the UD Replicas. The photos were darkened/manipulated.
