Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

With all the talk of getting the DOFP belt made, I thought I would bring this up. I like the belts in The Wolverine. I think it would be cool if the brown leather belt he wears after he is “disinfected” and/or the black looking belt he wears for his time with Mariko in Nagasaki were ever produced.


The only thing is these belts are simpler than the belts in X-1, X-2/X-O, or DOFP. That can be good that they might be a little easier and less expensive to make for a vendor. However, it can be bad because I’m not sure how much interest these belts would have since they are not as notable as the others and they look like belts that might be available in a department store.

So, they may be better left un-replicated, but I would still like to see replicas of them. It’s just a thought; what do you guys (my fellow Wolverine nuts haha) think?

He also wears 2 other belts in TW: a belt with the black suit and the one he wears during his flashbacks to WW2. (I couldn’t get great shots of those other than the ones in promo shots)

i dont have have a full listing but for jackets it's all about price this also equals quality logans closet is the best in my opinion and for an x3 the olf is also an awesome jacket.
your best bet is having a read through the thread as pretty much every jacket has been covered at some point

jeans is pretty easy levis 527 dark blue

shirts are hard to find but flannel pearl snap seems to be the way.

Belts are pretty hard to get as nobody is making any of the earlier film belts but soldier did a great guid to make your own and hit ebay for an indian chief buckle

I think the reason these (ridiculously small) details are raised and debated so much is because we're all a little "nuts"....

We all want the EXACT same jacket as Hugh Jackman wore.....

The pants are the Levi's 527, in most of the films, as far as we can tell, the belt and buckle can probably be ordered from Magnoli once he gets set up and running, and the above options listed for the jacket are all the best ones for different price brackets...

The boots change in each movie, but for the first four, I'd choose Engineer boots, from Frye probably....Not exact, but as close as we can see......

For claws, as posted above, Darkside probably does the best out there at the moment......And shirts, as posted above, best going with something you like, in the rough colours and fabric you seen on screen, since they change so often and haven't been directly "found" just yet....

Those are at least the boots I have. I could be wrong, but I thought those were the boots that were I.D.ed on here. They look spot on.
As far as the shirts go flannel and plaid woven shirts work nicely for the "Wolverine" look. I have a lot of flannel shirts and plaid that I wear with my jacket, nothing is spot on, but about any plaid shirt will do. My advice is get some flannel for colder days and then some snap woven plaid shirts for warmer days., that is what I do.

Don't worry about it fifthchamber, in your defense a lot of Wolverine boots look pretty similar. After looking in my closet, a lot of my flannel shirts came from JCpenny and are Arizona brand as a matter of fact the shirt in my avatar is Arizona (most of the shirts Hugh wears as Wolverine have two chest pockets and Arizona follows that style), I have thicker flannel shirts from Abercombie and Fitch and Eddie Bauer, I got my snap woven plaid shirts from American Eagle and Levi's makes some good ones as well. I realize if Wolverine was real he would not shop at any of those places. haha I don't have a shirt that is "spot on" to any of the shirts on screen though. It was mainly just to prove a point that you can find "Wolverine" style shirts just about anywhere when the season is right. The biggest issue is that since the weather is warming up, "Wolverine" shirts will be harder to come by in stores, but you may be luck enough to grab some shirts on clearance. I think fifthchamber said it best, to just pick out shirts you like with a rough idea of what Hugh wore. Just add your own taste with it. I personally flavor red flannel shirts and sometimes dark blue flannel.
Anyway, I really wished we could find more of what Hugh wore in The Wolverine, all I have managed to find are just "close enoughs", nothing spot on yet.

Going to Wondercon down in my parts...It's my first con and just so happens JDF, the original green power ranger will be there. The soul purpose is to get there and meet him finally and it just so happens his favorite super hero is...You guessed it. I'll be going dressed up.

Thanks for the shout out on the claws guys. All the info that has been shared in the last few posts is a really good summary. A couple notes to add:

When looking for the belt buckle on ebay I search for 'indian head buckle' and 'sitting bull buckle' Those seem to turn up some good finds.

For the shirts, I have not noticed Logan/Wolverine wearing your standard plaid shirts. In my opinion, the plaid shirts he wears are a bit more unique. I usually look on ebay to find plaid shirts that I identify with the character. You find a wide variety and a mix of colors. You can filter the results by size and color among other filters. I search for 'snap plaid shirt' or 'western plaid shirt'. I live in a hotter climate so I try to stay away from the flannel shirts. I have gotten a few shirts off ebay that I really like for the character. I would not have thought that it would be so hard to find a shirt like the one he wears in the movies but I have not really seen anything that comes close to matching. The best you can do is to look for the same style. Besides the plaid shirts he also does wear some shirts with other patterns on them. One in XO was a red shirt with a paisley pattern. I think he also wore some pattern shirts in X2 and X3. The all pretty much had the same style though with either buttons or snaps.

I really like the two shirts he wears in X-O they are kind of vintage.

I have a red shirt that is similar to the one on the right. Solider has sported an awesome shirt in some of the photos he has posted, that is really similar to that one. The shirt that Dan is wearing with his X-O jacket on the loganscloset website looks pretty close as well.
The only Wolverine shirt that I know of that has been positively identified is the Sandy Dalal shirt in X-1, which superdrool identified on page 60 there is some great photos he posted of it as well.
I'm glad we had this page that has pretty much summed up about everything "Wolverine" that is available!

YISSSSSSSSSSSS! SINGER'S X-MEN AOA IS OUT IN MAY OF 2016 WHILE MANGOLD'S WOLVERINE SEQUEL IS SET FOR MARCH 3, 2017!!!!!!!!!!! 5 X-men movies in like what, 6 years now? Damn they are on a roll! I feel like Mangold will use Omega Red next but I'd also like some closure with Sabretooth relationship. Excuse me while I clean off my computer screen WHO'S EXCITED?!

Yes, I really like the shirts from XO as well including the lumberjack shirt he wore:



Although, I really would love to have one like the one on the left that you posted. I just got one off ebay that looks similar but a bit more of a brighter red and gold/orange. So it is not as muted as that one. I saw a shirt that Dan wore in the XO jacket at some point that looks very good as well. It was a dark red with a muted black weave so it all looks like a dark maroon from farther but when you get closer you can see the plaid pattern. I also got a shirt that reminds me of this one I just posted but has different colors on it. It is not so brown but has some muted reds, blues and some other colors.

comonbub: That is awesome! I do agree they should use Omega Red and/or Sabretooth. I have heard reports that "Wolverine 3" will be based on an existing comic storyline. I will admit I'm not sure what they will go with "Origin", "Weapon X" and the Japanese story being arguably his more popular story lines and those have already had movies. I'm sure there are way more story lines to chose from the comics though. What story lines do you guys wish to see and when would it be set in the film timeline?

darkside501st: That logger shirt was cool as well! I think the shirts are the most overlooked aspect of what he wears in the films. The pattern on the red shirt that you are talking about is hard to see, but I got this screen grab from the special features.

I wished we could find out the exact patterns and shirts he wears in the film, but any patterned shirt (plaid, paisley etc) is going to be difcult to match which we already know. I am interested in the brands of "Wolverine" style shirts you buy if you don't mind me asking, darkside501st?

Thanks for all those links!!! I will check them out. I already ordered Dan's XO Jacket and cannot wait to get it.
I also got the THE WOLVERINE coat which was mentioned in this forum (for less than $ 100 USD it looks really accurate).
I didn't know about the jeans, I will order a few.
What about that dark suit from the funeral in the last film? And that coat? Any ideas?

Generic black dress clothes. Although I'm getting close to ID'ing the dress shoes by their bottoms and shoe toe. Found a few close enoughs but nothing yet. I'm betting they're really expensive stuff.
