Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

I like the Panhandle Slim shirts....Good call...And yeah, colour wise, the Ralph shirts do look closer...Although I can't find them with snaps..

And yeah, I know you knew there were various styles used....I agree with you about the snaps...Having those makes a lot more sense than the buttons honestly....I've tried to find them here in Japan, but haven't had much luck so far....The Ralph ones here all have buttons....

I wasn't trying to imply that all of his shirts were actually pearl snaps, yes some were button (but I shutter at that thought :p ) I think they are way easier to handle and don't ever have to worry about holes, nor them popping off.

On the X1 bar scene: I want to say it was either true vintage, Panhandle Slim, Pendleton, or Ralph Lauren.
I apologize about jumping to conclusions. When you post that "They HAVE to have pearl snaps..." I thought you meant that ALL the shirts Hugh wears as Logan are pearl snap. On the whole pearl snap vs button just clothing wise, I like pearl snaps, but some of mine have wore out, so they don't stay snapped well. I might have to keep an eye out for a repair kit like you were talking about. I didn't realize they made those. haha I have never really had an issue with my button shirts.
comonbub It looks like that to me too. The point I was trying to make is that maybe we can find this one since it is just a black shirt with a larger collar. We never find his EXACT shirts, but this one looks just plain enough to find. haha

@darkside501st: I can't view your link.
It looks like according trailer that he wears 2 shirts in the 70's. The one we have seen in the promo shots and this dark shirt.

Maybe this one will be easy to find or at least get a "close enough". haha

You can try that link again. I am not sure why it didnt work but I think it was the privacy setting so it should work now.

Awesome! Everything looks great and like you had a lot of fun. Did you have any trouble getting into the con with the claws?

I can see it now, thanks. I like that shirt too and I figured that was the one you were referring to. I wonder if it is something that we can find or a shirt made for the movie. TheWolverine Nice shots man! All of them are good, but my favorite is the one with you and the cartoon Sabretooth; the expression on your face is priceless. haha I have never seen some one do that Sabretooth costume, it takes me back to when I was a kid watching the 90's X-Men cartoon...good times!

So who is actually interested in the Vanson model of the DOFP jacket, I'm trying to see what Dan is doing as far as having it reproduced once we get 360 views of it front to back. It's growing on me a lot more, including that ridic collar...

I'm interested just depends when money is needed for it :)
i think I'll be 100% in after the film

Well I'm not making a run for it but I'm letting him know, there is interest for it. Also, found this, a bunch of new footage for DOFP.

Spike is rerunning that Ink Master episode with Hugh Jackman on Thursday at 11 pm (in my time zone), I have it DVR'ed. haha It looks like there is a good shot of the claws in that footage and I want to see it in higher quality. I would have watched it if I knew they were going to air that TV spot.

I would be interested but his jackets are priced a little out of my reach most of the time. I had to save up and make sacrifices to buy the XO I am still waiting to get. I like the new jacket too though. If I can find that shirt then I would for sure get the jacket to go with it, lol.

I for one love the 70's jacket. it has so much attitude in the style that I'd wear it in a heartbeat. I have a similiar 3/4 jacket with the long collar and people love it. It has to be custom made for the film yea? I wonder if it was made by an actual leather jacket maker.

But the great thing is that you don't have to go with that collar and go looking like a hipster if you don't want to, with Dan, you can get a normal one. I'm betting it'd probably be like 575-615....It can't cost more than that First Avenger jacket because they are almost identical. Found a HD version of that new footage btw, it looks like the first sentinels have those hand cannons made famous in the books by the looks of it.

The thing I find funny is that the original Wolvie jacket is a 60's-70's style leather jacket. It would've been fine leaving it the same. A man who has worn the same jacket for 50 years would bd pretty cool.

Thank you comonbub, for the better quality footage. Is it just me or do the bone claws look smoother and less "bumpy"? It could just be the angle or quality, but they look just a tab different to me. They remind me of the adamantium claws, they look like blades made of bone.

nick daring- Story wise it would be a plot hole because he gets his jacket in 1979 and this movie is set in 1973. Of course they change things and continuity is all screwed up. haha

I'd be interested in it as well, but unfortunately not from Dan, not willing to fork over that kind of cash to someone, and then wait 1-2 years for a jacket with nearly zero communication lol. Kinda hoping Heron or someone a little more affordable and reliable steps forward to take on this project. Especially if it could be made with a less flared/70's looking collar.

i have had some really positive expereinces lately with Dan not too long ago. I bought my X1 from and it shipped within a week (this is approx 2 months ago). I had previously heard horror stories and took a chance, really glad i did. the X1 is built like tank and I would hope a 70's style cut would be too. I reckon that 70's jacket is softer leather no?

Update on the DOFP jacket with Dan in an email he sent me.

"Will definitely be doing the jacket, just don't know when real production runs will be ready...the adjustments off the prototype were the easy part, but waiting on the right leather is the hard part at the vanson side, and a consistent over seas supplier on the other side is sketchy too. I hope to have one solid option worked out in the next two months though.

thanks,
Dan"

Comedian03 Took me max 6 months for my Origins jacket from start to finish. I think you got the short end of the stick there. I've had no problems besides almost no communication, you just have to have faith.
