Wolverine all day baby! Jackets, belts, claws, oh my.

Hey guys, so I bit the bullet and bought the 2014 style stainless steel Wolverine claws. I expected crap and what I got is pure silver. These babies are hefty and although not as screen accurate, they have the grooves in the blade. I am taking these to get refined and have shaped to fit my palm soon. best part, these are in the style of "The Wolverine" which i really like.

So X-Men: AOA is confirmed to be set in the 80s with appearances by characters of his original trilogy by Singer. So I guess that confirms that Wolvie does **** up the timeline even more. I don't know about you but I like this decade by decade thing. First the 60s, now the 70s, and next the 80s

Maybe we will get to see a nod to the yellow suit in the 80's, but my main concern is if Hugh is on board with X-Men Apocalypse. I sure hope so and I think he will probably do it since Bryan Singer is directing, but with Hugh's comments over the past year I'm not sure.

JIMMY CLAWS Wolverine Claws X1 X-MEN - Metal Claws
XMEN 1 Metal Claws.JPG
"Statue of Liberty Set"

All from original X-MEN 1...These are four claws used as development pieces. These four claws were used to make the set of metal claws Wolverine wears in the Statue of Liberty museum known as Wolverine's "Cuff Set". As Wolverine walks into the Statue of Liberty Museum he goes through a metal detector/scanner and sets it off. Wolverine pops out his claws and smashes the metal detector by punching it, causing sparks to fly and breaks the metal detector. Two of these claws listed here are spares identically the same as the claws used in the "Cuff Set" to smash the scanner, the other two are test samples (claw on top doesn't have scallop cut out where claw goes around the knuckle). One of the claws included has JIMMY CLAWS signature! Two of the claws have holes in them. The holes were used to hold on to the claws as a reference point in the development of the "Cuff Set" used on screen. All four claws are made from the same material, 6061 aluminum, shaped with the same CNC milling machine program and hand work, and are the same as the set used on screen. Directly off Jimmy's work bench...these four claws were made before the claw mold was cut, making them the first claw shape!

Lots more genuine, exclusive, X1, X2, and X3 pieces to come from Jimmy Claws. SNIKT

Nice shots Solider, the claws and jacket looks great man! I really like the background as well! I just ordered some stainless steel claws like agliarept posted. Thanks some much for the link, agiliarept! I'll probably get some "The Wolverine" shots when I get them.

No duck tail? Also, 6 days till trailer....UGH...Long wait but I've got the new international Godzilla trailer and final TAS trailer to keep me over

We were chatting about that back on P.137-8......The wolverinejacket.com jackets don't have the slight duck tail shape....There was debate about how much curve was accurate, and comparison shots too for Vanson and the movie version....I think, at the price that wolverinejacket.com sells them? They're more than decent for what you get, even with the (very small) inaccuracy of the jacket hem....

I completely agree with you fifthchamber. I'm sure your Vanson X-O beats my wolverinejacket.com X-O, but for the price I don't think you can beat the Wj.com jacket. I really like my jacket, but I'm looking at a Vanson X-1 for my next jacket. As for the whole duck tail thing, I'm really not sure why it comes up so often. In about every screen shot I have grabbed the dip looks pretty slight to me. As I have posted before, I have compiled an album of screen shots of the X-O that can be viewed here: wolfman10's Album: Wolverine jacket there are a few decent shots of the back of the jacket.
Here are some comparison shots of my jacket and the screen used one (the angles are not great). There is a difference, but not enough to bother me.

Anyway, I can't wait for the trailer!

The WJ XO is pretty well built, I've been wearing mine nearly everyday in any weather, definitely worth the $350 ($325 with the "I know solider discount!) One month turnaround, depending if they have hides in stock, mine took about an extra week and a half because hides were out of stock. Just hope WJ does come through with X1, 2, & 3 jackets later this year! Wade said they have patterns but aren't tackling them right away

I think the reason these (ridiculously small) details are raised and debated so much is because we're all a little "nuts"....

We all want the EXACT same jacket as Hugh Jackman wore.....But we all have different body shapes, and different vendors, and different price scales to fit into, so we all just do what we CAN do, and then talk about it here, endlessly.....Heh....It's nuts, but it's also fun, so, all good for me....

The 350 dollars is well spent I'd say...I had a Wested, and am more impressed by the wolverinejackets.com version, although it's a touch more expensive...But only a touch, and for that, the flat back is easily accepted.....The movie version is duck tailed, sure, but there are scenes where it's so slight it's hard to notice, and only "we" would ever do so....So...Just depends on the buyer...

That said, it's always good to talk about the differences here, so that people CAN actually get closer to the "real" thing....If they wanted to do so....

What I'm trying to say is, we're all nuts, and all to varying degrees....And we now have 151 pages and counting of pure nuttiness....How badass is that?
