I probably just ruined my journal. The acryllic was way too watery so it wouldn't stick on the cover but it managed to get on the inside cover and a couple of the back pages… and now I have wasted $20.

Nevermind, I have managed to almost completely get rid of the damage done.

By the way, how much water did you use to thin down the acryllic darth?

I'm wondering the same thing. Also, from your youtube tutorials you say some of the artwork is brushwork in sepia ink. So you painted those?

OK. I have just finished the first coat of acryllic on my journal. I didn't use water to thin it down though so hopefully it won't crack.

Yeah...It was time consuming.

I finally finished painting and weathering the cover and it looks great! Check tommorow for the finished pics (my camera isn't working right now) and hopefully some pics of my weathered pages. After that I will actually be able to do the drawings, writing, etc.

At this point Im probably not going to. The place that was going to make it stopped replying to my emails. There is another user making it through shapeways though named robo. He is the one who started the thread about drake's ring.

Just tested weathering some pages with coffee and it wouldn't color the pages at all. It just got them really wet. Thankfully I used printer paper and not my notebook.
