Uncharted 2: Among Theives

Ok I have created an Interest thread in the junkyard about the coin. Please post there if interested in the coin. Thanks

I thought shapeways required a digital 3D model file of the object to be created.

Who's doing the 3D modeling?

Also, it seems some people are using the small Moleskine book for their journal, and others are using the bigger Moleskine book.
Which means there would have to be 2 different sized coins mad in order to scale to the preferred book.

Im not using shapeways currently. I am using Northwest Territorial Mint to have it custom minted. There is a JY thread about it now.

Where did everyone get their notebooks from? I have searched everywhere and they don't have soft cover sketchbooks.

I could be wrong, but I don't think the in-game journal was a softcover.
The cover ALWAYS looks fairly rigid.
Hi. I wanted to ask you guys if anyone of you has a version of this pic in higher resolution.

Alright, I have my brother-in-law staying with me for a while and while it's not perfect, this is the best I was able to get.
It might need adjusted for perspective and whatnot BUT it's a bit better (sizewise anyway) than the other one.

Yeah, I actually figured out that it's not a soft cover. Your sully picture looks really good. Is there a reason he looks younger in it? It could just be the lighting but his hair looks a lot blacker than the other one.

I should be able to start posting pics of my journal progress very soon now. I just need some acryllic and sepia ink…

@Silverstag: Looking forward to seeing your progress pictures.

I love the idea of this diary. I put together a Grail Diary last year and have been looking for a similar project. This appears to be it.

I was lucky enough to find a a 5" x 8" hardcover sketchbook at one of the local dollar stores and I have all the inserts form this thread so all i have to do is get off my &$$ and get started.

I can't draw worth $#!% so I'm thinking of printing a reverse image of the drawings on clear film and transferring them to the sketchbook where I can go over them with pen or pencil.

Not looking for an easy way out but...anyone got anything better/easier for us drawing challenged people?

Thanks.

Do they actuallly make that type rub-off transfer paper?

I thought I saw some at an art store not too long ago but I was in a hurry and didn't really read the details on the package.

Darth, I will pay you if you make me a sculpy dubloon like the one you have! How does $10 plus cost of the materials you use sound? :cool

While I was looking through some art supplies I was able to find some ultramine blue acryllic! Should be able to post picks of the painted cover later today or tommorow.
