That's what I was going to do but a guy I talked to at the art store told me coffee works better. Yeah right. A phurba out of sculpy? That's going to be really complicated.

Yeah, but it's worth a try. I'm not paying $6,000 for one of the Fortune Hunter Editions on eBay. I've gotten a few reference pictures but can't tell if there are 2, 3, or 4 of the angry faces on the top. I think there's 2 but not really sure.

That's true. I talked to a guy who works for SCE and worked on the phurba dagger in the special edition to see what I needed to make my own. When he said I needed a 3D printer I gave up the project.

I just found a real tibetan phurba dagger that looks pretty close to the one in game for only $100

Was the guy going to give you the 3d model of it? Cuz my school has a 3d printer and that would make things A LOT easier. I doubt he would do that though. Can you link to the real dagger?

I know this is a bit off topic but has any1 heard the great news about the uncharted movie? The director, his script, and the actor playing Drake are out of the movie!

:thumbsup I haven't heard that, but that's awesome. His script had almost nothing to do with the original game. And I hope they get Fillion this time.

And that dagger has some obvious differences but it's not too bad. Here's a guy that carved one out of wood. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves - Nehta

The more I look at it the more differences I see. Its the best I could find though. That wooden dagger looks great by the way. I sent the guy at Sony another email asking for the phurba model.

haha, good luck. Well if you can't get that, I think I'll make a 3d model instead so it'll be higher quality. Then maybe make a cast of it.

What!? That looks great and with a little editing it could really be a replica! Is this still for sale? Also, I got a response from Sony and he said he could get fired for giving away the model. The best thing would be to get someone with the real replica phurba and make a cast.

That phurba isn't too bad. The only one I could find on ebay that looked like that was $68. Just do a search for "Phurba Dagger UC820". There was another one I found that was very close to the original except it was 3ft tall and was $3,000 :unsure

Tempted to buy the one for $68. The head on top looks a bit better than DBCooper's.

DBCooper's phurba looks like the one from The Shadow, being from UC it probably is a licensed copy.

Maybe you can make a new thread? I would, but haven't met the requirements yet. (And sorry for hijacking the thread :$)
