A bit of info gathered together on the cost of basic 1in wide ELTape from LuminousFilm.com:
"Hello,
Our 1" wide split electrode material runs $7.75 a foot and comes in pink-off/white-on or green-off/blue green-on. You can also purchase it in 100' or 300' rolls for $615.00 and $1,650.00 accordingly.
The ETCO clips, without wire, are $0.35 each
If you are not ordering any EL lamp, the minimum order is 24 pieces, plus shipping.
Let me know if you have any other questions and I will do my best to answer them for you.
Regards,
Patrick Dwyer

I assume my inverter used for ELWire (12v 300mah) will do the job of running 3 or so feet of this Split Electrode Tape. If not, it's a $35.00 experiment. The inverters LF sells are rather expensive, which makes me wonder a bit as the much lower cost inverters I have been using from ELWirePros and other companies have done the job just fine on both ELWire and ELTape combos of up for 30feet in total length.
This is a considerable difference in price over other locations, such as GLowHut.com where 1 foot of 1 inch wide ELTape costs $15.00 and comes in five colors (I have only seen the SilverOff/Blue-GreenOn first hand).
That's very helpful information. I'll be buying some white EL strips from LuminousFilm for my "Young Flynn" jacket. I'm just not sure if I should go for 1" wide or 0.5" wide. I haven't seen the film in a while, but the single stripe alongside the zipper of the jacket seemed somewhere between the two sizes, but I don't have a good visual reference to calibrate myself. Are most folks here using 1" wide for their costumes? Maybe that's the "default" width on the Grid.
