That's what I thought too, and I made a very good case for it.
But as expected...Disney told me in the nicest possible way to go fly a kite:
Thank you for your e-mail to the DISNEYLAND® Resort.
Children under age ten are permitted to wear costumes without face
masks, as they are every day to the park.
However, adult costumes are not permitted. Any adult attire that can
detract from the show or be considered a Disney character will not be
permitted at the DISNEYLAND® Resort. We apologize if this causes any
disappointment for you or your family.
Again, thank you for taking the time to write. We hope you will have the
opportunity to visit the DISNEYLAND® Resort soon and trust your visit
will be pleasant in all regards.

Like I said, I already got into DCA with my Quorra costume. I was completely covered up going thru the main gate. It was night time already which helped too, maybe, but once I was in. Took off my coat and was in ElecTRONica the entire time with no problem. This was in October, maybe they let costumes slide for Halloween month. Yes, now I risk getting turned away or thrown out once I am in the park in costume.
It is a risk I will take since I live in LA. Compass I would feel the same as you since you are coming in out of state and wouldn't want to go thru all that, taking that risk.
But if you change your mind for this weekend or another weekend and DO want to take that risk, please let us know.
I am still going for it this Sat. going in Quorra to ElecTRONica for anyone that cares to meet up there with me
