Trek Cage Communicator specs

I always wanted one of those Roddenberry Cage Communicators, but I couldn't afford it at the time. If I remember correctly that those were made by HMS? They are the best I've ever seen. I have had a few different versions over the years but was never really happy with them. I found a guy on Etsy that does a pretty good imitation of the Roddenberry, at least the closest thing I've seen yet. I think my quest is over. I finally found one I am content with. It's notably heavier than my others, the lid is tight and solid, not flimsy or loose. Its very clean, no bubbles, and perfectly buffed and smooth. You can tell a lot of effort was put into making it as prefect as can be, which was what I liked so much about the Roddenberry's.

The seller I purchased from on Etsy is WasabiGlass.

He has been doing these for years and improving them over time. He only makes about 10 of them per year. He used to use painted steel lids but he now has a source for perforated brass, also he has a new jig for shaping the lids so they are much better and more uniform than his older ones. I'm not complaining but my only constructive criticism would be to spread the tubes out a little more so you can see the four holes better.
