Tom Clancy's The Division (original character build)

With the new videos that have come out, there are a LOT of new reference pics! My preferred resource is mydivision.net - the German website.

I've got a HUGE cosplay update coming up within the next week or two. I took stock of everything on my current build and I thought I'd share - not saying that everyone doing a Division cosplay should have all these things, but I thought it might help someone else as they are building their own!

HEAD
Baseball cap with Division logo
Bluetooth earpiece
Respirator/filters
Mic (so I can talk with gasmask on)

TORSO
Hooded green winter coat w/ armband on right upper arm
Black full-fingered Mechanix gloves
Black tactical slingpack with cross strap and additional MOLLE pouch
Two leathermans and collapsible baton in pouches hanging off one of the straps of slingpack
Double mag pouch and double grenade pouches hanging off other strap of slingpack
Secondary weapon, airsoft P90, hanging on right side of slingpack
Pulser hung on back of slingpack
PocketSocket hung on slingpack (this is my own touch, not something I"ve seen in any pics)
Two training epipens in front pouch of slingpack (just like Keelan's)

LEGS
Dark brown cargo pants
Thigh pouch on left thigh (to hold wallet and keys)
Drop leg MOLLE panel on right thigh with holster and pistol mag pouches
Knee pads
Hiking shoes (trust me, these are a life saver - I can walk forever in these and be comfortable)

Not to mention my big G36C airsoft gun, plus an extraction/loot bag hanging underneath my slingpack.

Pics coming soon, WITH progress pics on how I built the loot bag and pulser!

i just look on that web site and fall in love with the firefighter skin..... neeeeedddddd :love

i can't wait longer for your pics MythMaker ;)

Just finished cleaning this up for use if anyone is interested in using it for their armbands. I ordered a couple from the mutiny shop at 3.5" diameter, full color PVC with the glow in the dark feature. Anyone looking for the armband pattern send a pm with your email and I'll forward the pdf.

Very cool, Gee2!

I've still got a few things to minor things to finish up but here's a pic of the extraction/loot bag (mason jar for size comparison)!

Great job ;) do you have a picture of the bag open ?
Sorry, no. But it would just be stuffed with T-shirts and stuff and the inside isn't that pretty.

That looks pretty sweet Blast! I might try to black out more of the top part, or at least dirty it up, but that is ROCKING the Cleaner look!

nice kit myth ;)

i will let the cleaner cosplay on stand bye 'cause it's too heavy and too hot to wear more than 20 minutes ( i got a foggy screen in about 10 minutes ^^) but it was quite fun to build and walk on the house with ^^

Keelan, what dimensions did you make your loot bag? If you don't mind sharing.

MATT! So sorry I'm only getting to this now. Been a while since getting on here, to say the least.

Anyway, the dimensions of our Loot Bag are 14"x8" (not 100% on the diameter measurement, but it's somewhere in that wheelhouse). We still need the text and bio symbol to be screened onto it, so we're looking at what ink to use considering the fabric.

ALSO, I've managed to replace most of the gear that went missing! :) Got a few things to change up now that I have the chance, but with a little bit of time I'll be back out in the field!

It would also work well should you want a breakdown of my approach for one of your videos, Matt, since I'm essentially piecing it all together again. At the same time I could probably get the elements out of storage that we used for the actors in the webisode and see if maybe they could model the gear while I go over the pieces. Let me know if that works for you and I'll try to set things up with them (for sure I can do one of my costume regardless if it'll help you).

The pilot episode for the webseries is finally online!

It's unfortunate that our VFX artist wasn't able to get the watches/comms devices to glow (as you all here know, the actual props had LEDs and EL wire in them, but the natural light on-set was too much so the camera couldn't pick up on them). We'll likely re-upload at a later date with the effects in place.

We're getting ready to start a strong pre-production phase for Episode 2, then we'll probably be launching a crowdfunding campaign so we can make the several other webisodes to complete "season one."

Hope you all enjoy it!

Any questions about the project, feel free to ask.

Oh yes! I know you've been working on this a long time, Keelan! So happy to finally see it, and to see more Division agents on screen!

How exactly did you do the cuttout for the watch? Looks awesome and trying to make my own thanks to you ha. Did you let the led bleed through the actual paper or did you cut out with an exacto knife where it's supposed to glow?

Deangelo, I'll answer for Keelan: he did not cut through the paper, but let the paper act as a defuser of the LED light. However, feel free to try that technique, you might get results that you like better!

Thanks for stepping in while I've been away, Matt. Kinda worked out that today I decided to checkup on things since I've been off social media for a bit (gonna go back off the grid after today too).

Like Matt answered, Deangelo33, I used paper to diffuse the glow. At first I just used standard printer paper for the prototype, but later used velum paper; it's more translucent so the light goes through a bit better. There's too many tiny details in the graphic that I made for me to use an x-acto blade (that and I don't have the patience or skill for it, but others might). If someone were to go the way of the cut-out method, I would advise something like a layer of cellophane to help create the orange glow, even if using orange LEDs.

We won't know how that method works until someone gives it a go. :D

Glad this thread has been alive in my absence! Keep up the great work agents!

Awesome! Thanks for the help, I'll be sure to try the Velum paper. Just finished my first ROUGH draft of the watch and don't care too much for how it turned out... Attempt two in progress.
