Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

How fun!
What's the plan for Tea Time in the park?
Is this a prior to the Halloween day time meet up?

It will pretty much be during the entire time of Mickey's Halloween Party. Early entry is 4:00pm and we will meet up at the park entrance and plan for a secondary meet up. To early to say just yet but reserve the date!

Sounds fun!
Remember that adults in costume aren't allowed into the park for the early entry portion of the event since the park will still technically be open during early entry.

Wow! That blue coat is stunning!!

Dang it! I wish I had people around me with these costumes so I could get some shots with my Alice armor!!

GREAT COSTUME!!! i am also making this costume. my birthday this year is going to be themed alice in wonderland (tim burton style). I am making this costume for me since it is a little more girlier, with the bright colors and all. My friend manny is going to wear the costume from the beginning with the brown coat. We are also wearing these for halloween. IM so excited!:lol

I like the colors on screen of the battle hatter outfit compared to the costume on display, so that's what I'm going for, hence why my coat is a darker blue than most. Plus it seems like there were many inconsistencies with the original brown coat display vs the one seen on screen (ie. the vest), so I wonder if there are similar issues with the battle display. Anyone noticed anything? Anyways, I'm curious as to which version is everyone else on here is trying to match?

Well for one the entire battle scene was supposed to be extremely dark so everything was a few shades darker including the coat. Look at the socks. If they hadn't had the display I would have guessed the left leg was black and white sock.

The display shows the detail while the movie doesn't because the scenes go by too fast.

BTW! Was anyone else disappointed with the lack of Extras that came on the Blu Ray? Most of that stuff was already up on YouTube a month before the viddie was released. Not to mention most of the segments are extremely choppy and 3 minutes too short!!!

I'm sure it's the same costume, but the color timing, as we know, on this movie was quite extreme. We got some heaving darkening and desaturation going on all over the place.

lest also put into account that the pictures of the display is taken with flash that bleaches out everything
so the trick is to find a fabric that will look like that under a flash

the silk im using is quite dark, but in the right photo environment will look the color in the display

I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have for me :)

I have a question, (and this is off topic insanely) but are you going to the Colorado Renfair? I am going to Debut my Battle Hatter there with my Alice in her Armour and it would be cool to maybe meet up and get some pictures.

Joining this party late! But I'll offer up my Red Queen costume. I made it for last year's Dragon*con. I won Best Journeyman in the costume contest with it, but somehow I don't have a decent picture of it! I need to suit up and have some taken.

I tried searching this (very long) thread and didn't see it mentioned, so forgive me if I missed it. Has anyone seen this Red Queen "hat"/wig in person? It looks like it might be horrifically bad, but it would really simplify my life not to have to Manic Panic my hair again. I also wasn't crazy about stripping it before dying it, so it really only looked very red in certain pictures.

Well done on the RQ costume suehle!

@Chad

That sounds like fun! I haven't been in a few years. I'll let you know.

In person it looks a bit like a stuffed animal.
However it may work well for making your head appear enlarged since it is rather cartoonish.
I've seen a hair version wig, with a crown, online somewhere-
I'll search a bit and post if I find an image again.

LOVE your Red Queen suehle! Lovely work!

Yeah....that "wig" reminds me a whole lot of a neck pillow you use to sleep on planes with....hahahaha It's like fun fur....not hair.
