There was actually a LOT of costume inconsistencies in the movie, for the record.
For some reason at one point, the striped ribbon was on the same side as the hatpins and the 10/6 card, which stuck out like a very large and confusing sore thumb to me.
The hairy part of the hat was also here and there and sometimes nowhere...the colour of the band went from pale coral to FUSCHIA pink... Just a note, the coat does not change colour. I mean, it is shown in different colours but there's no changing in action. When it's brown it's brown. When he's prisoner, it's grey. When he's fighting it's blue.
Re: the hairy part again...if you zoom in on the promo pic it's definately more of a shredded tulle, that's so shredded it almost looks hairy. For this I shredded up some felt and patted it down. Since it has no explanation or reason as to what it is, I think the fuzziness on mine gives it a mossy look which in turn makes it look super old and weathered, a hat that has gone on many an adventure.

I like how it looks now, but who knows, I'll probably change it up. :lol
Uploading some pics again!!! Unfortunately ( I ALWAYS have excuses, I know ) again, they were at the end of the night and before we left, I couldn't find some of the pieces since Travis had a meeting today and couldn't get here til late and we were cutting our time close in getting ready before heading to Toronto for the movie...at rush hour. LOL
Anyways, so I know there are thumbles missing, the wig is drooping a bit, some hat pins are missing...they'll all be replaced and added in for Friday so more pictures will come then.
Touching a few up and will post soon!
PS. Did anyone else feel the EXPLOSION OF FIREWORKS between the Hatter/Alice at the end. SoooOOoOOoOoOooOooo sad and romantic. *sigh* I'm kind of sad they cut out the kiss as awkward and strangely out of character it would be for the Hatter.
Also, the Futterwacken was incredible...incredibly strange yet also hilarious. Somehow, it was just right in some VERY VERY strange way. :lol
And the Hatter actually made me uncomfortably scared at some points. Black make-up Hatter is........Well...I have no words for it. :|
