Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland Costumes

It's a polyester that has been worked and reworked with many different techniques to achieve the correct weathered look.
i really want to know how you went about doing that, and what sort of polyester blend did you use

as for me
ive been doing what i can on my coat
ive got the left front done
what do you think

now for the next side

That material looks great, Padawan! Looks like your new coat is coming along very nicely. :)

I can't believe tomorrow is my LAST DAY to get things done!!! Early screening on Wednesday! WOO HOO!!!!!!

Thanks ^^
i still have no idea how to add splotches of darer and light colors like Toby and Richard did

and i tried that that thing with the fleece, i cant get good handfulls of fuzz to use, there all pinches

If I said fleece, I meant felt. I was thinking about that the other day...I'm a dunce sometimes. Sorry!!!

Maybe try mixing some bleach in a spray bottle and test that on the fabric...a scrap piece, of course. That might be able to give you an uneven kind of faded splotchy effect! Actually that sounds like a good idea that may work...too bad I didn't try it earlier. I have no time! D: AHHH!

OOOOHH!!!
ok ill trey felt then

and ill expirement with this bleach idea
i dont know how the fabric will react

and i dont know if you all have seen Avril Lavigne's music video for Alice
i love her, shes mega hot and can really belt, but she has no head voice
whatever shes hot

Danny Lopez Plays Hatter, i had asked about the costume and his assistant told me it was the one from the movie. but watching it you can see the tie is all wrong, the gloves arnt right, the fuzz on the cuffs isnt prominent enough, the hankie is the wrong color, you know little things
so yeah,
awesome song though

You should cut that bleach with some water Padawan.

Also you can try shoe polish for the darker spots. Just make sure you have enough of it. It goes quick.

SHOE POLISH!! Why didn't i think of that earlier.
oh and i really do what to know how you did your blue coat, it looks so perfect and i really want to make it look good when i go to make it

Working on a screen accurate thread belt. Here are the colors in order as far as I can interpret from the various screen caps. I threw in a couple comic con pics as well, but the color order is completely different than the one on screen.

OOOOO!! i like
i dont really want to change out my threads and spools cause a vast majority of them and there thread are vintage
ill probably move them around to resemble this order atleast

Oh if you need help finding chain the stuff i used is like perfect
i can through you a link if you want

Also finally starting work on my Mad Hatter Sword. I'm excited about this one! Does anyone have higher res pics they can PM me?

WOW! That makeup is FABULOUS! Saving that for Travis' tomorrow! :D And of course the amazing wig and eyebrows...hat is nice, coat and tie are obviously 'meh'.

Hey fellas...any suggestions on how to cover up sideburns?? Travis doesnt even have real sideburns but the little bit of hair that comes in front of the ear still shows even though the wig goes around the ear at that part, it just isn't enough to cover it...suggestions?

Soul, thanks for the offer on the flower but I needed it for tomorrow! Thus, I have remade it. I basically made a bunch of petals, each two layers of fabric so that they`re stiffer and puffier...and sewed them all together. It`s still not 100% perfect but it`s better than my old one. It`s gone from a 2D flat one to a nice 3D puffy one!...which is currently kind of flattening under my makeup case while the bow dries on ( I had to glue it because all of the petals sewn together in the center made it too thick to sew through. D: )

I tried some origami with the fabric but it just was NOT happening...lol
