ThunderCats 2011

Just saw it and it was GREAT, far exceeded my expectations. The writing is excellent, the acting very god and it was epic almost movie quality. One of the best animated series I've seen.

Yeah it was on at 8pm. I dvr'd it. i have it being on youtube by sunday. heck you might even be able to watch it on cartoonnetwork.com

Don't worry just check CN every day, you know they're going to show the heck out of it like every other show premier. I mean i've seen the same new johnny test episode 4 times this week.

It's funny, CN usually repeats everything a few times a week, hopefully this will be on at another time. Would really like to see it without having to watch youtube. Maybe it will be on on demand....

It normally does but nothing is showing this week until the new episode at 8:30 next friday. Cartoon network's site is such a mess even if they put it on there to watch you may never find it in all the clutter.

My son came home ranting about this Cool show
Called "Thundercats" . I thought he had seen the original .
Guess I have to go visit CN on demand now

The new ThunderCats series is quite a departure from the original series and builds a whole new mythology thus preventing it from being predictable. But still manages to give plenty of nods to the original while honoring the legacy of the beloved characters.

I really enjoyed it and laughed a few times including scenes with Snarf and that part when Lion-O tries to speak to Cheetara for the first time. I can't wait to see more and how all the characters join forces as a team.

Don't know if they will incorporate individual theme music for each character, but I hope they include a opening intro for the upcoming episodes.

Yes, and it was amazing. Lasted I think 39 episodes. You can get the complete series for less than 15 bucks. But Mattel killed the toyline with stupid, pegwarming variants, so no more cartoon/commercial needed once the toys were yanked, and if I recall, CN kept switching the time slot which didn't help the cartoon itself's ratings.

Since the cartoon went two seasons, fans just refer to it as 200x, if that term comes up, fyi.

I was really impressed with the writing and how they paid respect to the original but also was able to make it uniquely its own version.

I like the tension between the brothers (Lion-O and Tigra). Did anyone notice that Lion-O's father was voiced by the original Lion-O voice actor? Also, did you all notice Linx-O at the watchtower?

I was disappointed that the first episode was not longer. Can't wait to follow the series.
