Three Amigos Costume Build

Here' a few updates for the Amigo suits.

Picture 1: Underside of Ned's cuff's are done.

Picture 2: The rib cage area of the jacket is done.

Picture 3: I've got one pant leg mostly done. I'm working on the other side right now.

Picture 4: Lucky's jacket is now done except for sleeves. Bedazzling happened this weekend, but no pictures yet.

Picture 5: Back of Lucky's jacket on the dress form.

Overall, we are progressing nicely. The gunbelts came in today and they will start getting adorned this weekend. All that is left is finishing the puff painting, bedazzling and then I've got to make a decision on ties (use what I've got or make new ones out of the same fabric as the cumberbuns). Time will govern any extras. I've also got to make about 50 replica bullets for the gunbelt.

That is looking so utterly cool :cool :) :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

Dying to see the completed and worn sets ... as well the My Little Buttercup rendition video :lol

It's been a couple of days since the last updates and this one isn't too big. I hope to have some major updates for Dusty Bottom's suit this weekend as it's being worked on away from my house. Anyway, here's a couple of things from the sweat shop!

Picture 1 and 2: Shots of Lucky's completed jacket torso. All that is left is the shoulder faces, sleeves and cuffs.......to be completed this weekend. Then, it's on to the pants (the simplest of the Amigo's).

Picture 3: Ned's pant leg. I've got a bit more embellishment and bedazzling to do and then I have to flip them over and do the inside ankle and lower calf, but overall, I think they are coming along nicely. I took some license with the design, but I don't think anyone will complain.

Picture 4: The gun belts for Ned and Lucky have arrived. Though not as accurate as Dusty's, they will do. I need to sap out the excess black dye, seal them and then adorn them with spots and customized belt buckles, but overall, I'm pleased and they are sized well. This is one good day's worth of work.

Hope y'all enjoy and hopefully, I'll be able to present a complete Amigo or two soon!

Small update of Dusty's coat. Dusty (Josh) has been working on his coat at home, but brought it over last night to give a spin on the form to see how we stood. It looks good with no bedazzling. When the jewels go on it, it should look great. I've also uploaded the inside of Ned's leg for review.

Just a quick update to the build. This is coming along well and we should be finished ahead of schedule for D-Conn.

Picture 1: Ned's gun belt. This belt doesn't feature diamond spots like the other two. Instead, it uses circle shaped spots with a small daisy style fringe. I couldn't find that fringed spot, so solid 1/2" circles were used and applied. The belt buckle still needs "NED" attached in gold metal lettering.

Picture 2: Ned's holster.

Picture 3: Lucky's shoulder facing, sleeve and cuff all puff painted. Kyle will bedazzle this coat this week and start the pants this weekend.

Pictures of Dusty's pants soon to come.

Just a couple of update shots.

Picture 1, 2 and 3: This the completed Ned Nederlander jacket and pants. I also have on the gun belt, holster, revolver and cumberbun. I decided to wear a black shirt because I'm toying the idea of a secondary costume with this suit.........we'll see. It's a secret.

Picture 4: A picture of the completed gun belt.

Hopefully, we'll have a full Amigo group photo soon.

Here's a few pictures of Senior Dusty...........

He has his bedazzling left to do, but overall, his jacket and pants are done. He actually finished his jacket front tonight. I don't have the pictures downloaded yet though, so you'll have to make due with this.

He's wearing a black T-shirt, so that may be disguising some of the pants. Mea culpa on that.

We're getting close folks........real close!

It's not power armor, it's not an unnaturally proportioned monster, and it's not an acre of custom-patchworked spandex, and yet this build is one of the most awesome (and complex!) things I've ever seen on this site. You've done amazing work here, DM.

That is nothing short of a work of art Jesse !!

Well done pal :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup :thumbsup

omg. These are friggin' amazing LOL! There are so many costumes I'm going to be looking forward to seeing at D*Con, and this is group is SO making the top of the list!
